Article Marketing Tips-Can Everyone Write Articles?

Article Marketing Tips-Can Everyone Write Articles?

These Article Marketing tips might be of help to you. You might ask yourself, is article writing that hard? Well, lots of people write their own articles. But lots of people also complain that their articles don’t seem to attract the attention of intended readers—or any reader for that matter.

So the challenge really is not only whether you want to, or have enough time to write your articles: more importantly, it’s about whether you can write what people would want to read! And you don’t need me to tell you that any article that fails to attract the attention of readers has been written in vain.

But I must quickly add that writing articles doesn’t require amazing skill. However, like anything worthwhile, it does require some expertise and practice if one must do it right and reap the full benefits of marketing with articles.

There are basically three ways you can approach article writing: (1) write your articles yourself, (2) have someone write them for you, or (3) use internet-based article writing software. Due to space constraints, I’ll only discuss the first option with this article; writing by yourself.

Be the Actual Writer: You can write your articles yourself. Start by deciding what to write about. How you resolve this depends mostly on what your online business is about. Depending on your niche, simply type a word or phrase related to it on Google search, and do a bit of background research on what other websites and writers are saying about that subject.

Take some literal or mental notes as you read. No, you’re not going to reproduce these articles word-for-word, that’s plagiarism! Your aim in reading these other articles is to acquaint yourself with current discussions and latest developments surrounding those subjects.

This in turn should guide you as you write yours, so that you don’t end up supplying outdated information in your article—nobody likes stale news. And as you write your articles, try and break your information into series of closely-related paragraphs, all the while keeping the discussion conversational.

Your keyword or phrase should be used a few times in the article body, 4 times or so, depending on the length of the article. But do not overuse keywords, as if this is the only way to get your article indexed by ezines. In terms of length, 400 to 750 words should afford you enough opportunity to tell your audience what you want them to know—if you’re really knowledgeable about the subject. Bottom line is, keep your articles simple and informative.

Any reader requiring more detailed information can always contact you. Too lengthy an article discourages many potential readers at first glance. At the end of all of your articles, always populate the resource box. The information there is what will make readers to click back to your site, giving you free web traffic. If you skip this point, then when your articles fail to generate free traffic or leads to your website or blog, don’t forget this paragraph!

Also, do not make the mistake of trying to directly market your business opportunity with your articles. Both readers and ezine directories dislike the practice. Just supply the reader the information your title promised, and allow your resource box to do the rest! Having observed the rules above, submit your great articles to prime ezine directories and watch your traffic grow.

Writing your articles yourself can be slightly stressful, surely more time-consuming than hiring someone to do it for you. But if after weighing the options you’re still keen on doing it yourself, there you have the tips!
