If you have heard of Internet Marketing and are interested in getting started, you should explore what is involved before you spend a lot of money to find out if it is for you. First of all do not look at this as a get rich quick scheme as a lot of websites promote. It is something that takes time and effort. If you are not willing to put in the time it takes, then this is probably not for you, because you have to be dedicated and work at it on a consistent basis every day.

The easiest and least expensive way to get started is by finding a niche, or topic you are familiar with and start writing articles about that niche. You will also need to start a blog about your product to post your articles on. There are many free article marketing websites on the internet to submit your articles to, this will start bringing potential customers to your blog. You will need to buy a domain name where your blog will be listed on the internet. A domain name will only cost you about .00 per year.

You can start out for free by signing up for a free internet marketing course called The Mad Marketing Method. Go through all the 10 lessons offered and then decide if this is for you. This course is offered through Wealthy Affiliate University. If you sign up for their program, they will teach you all you need to know about affiliate marketing including getting your domain name and hosting your website on the internet for free.

The next thing you will need after you get your website set up is an auto responder. Top internet marketers from around the world use auto responders on their websites to collect their visitors names and email addresses. Having the ability to send an email to subscribers of your mailing list is a very powerful marketing strategy that can increase your sales.

Building a mailing list that is relevant to your product is a very powerful asset to your business as you can send out notices, service announcements, tips, techniques, promotions, or anything related to your product. You will also have the ability to cross-promote other products of a similar nature. Mailing lists allow you to have continued contact with your subscribers (potentially for a lifetime), which is a very powerful position to be in.

The way an auto responder works is that someone types in their email address if they are interested in your product. On the first day after they give you their name and email address they are sent an email that basically welcomes them and to share a small taste of information on your product. On the second day they will receive a little more information on your product. These pre-written emails are sent out for several days in hopes that the potential customer will respond and buy your product. On the last day, if that person has not bought anything, you tell them thank you for their interest.

If you decide to get into internet marketing, the only legitimate one that I have found out there that is not just out to get your money is Wealthy Affiliate University. Their program will teach you everything you will need to know about internet marketing. It’s a good place to start. It’s where I started and my internet business has skyrocketed since I joined a few months ago.
