An Initiative dedicated to social responsibility in the Arab World.
Through a multi-faceted approach, The en.v Initiative seeks to further and support the research and development of individuals and organizations in the fields of education, health, environment, economics, business, culture, human rights, etc. Furthermore, The en.v Initiative attempts to employ an innovative attitude and methodology that will communicate itself to all sections of society without bias to age, gender, ethnicity, race, or nationality.
We ultimately hope to nurture the development of a new kind of citizen in the Arab world – one who is alert, aware and conscious of the effects his or her decisions and actions have on society at large and on the environment as a whole.
The en.v Initiative disseminates all content via an interactive online news portal and archiving system (in both Arabic and English). The portal features a diverse array of functions for users to interact with and share their own content and opinions online.
The portal is rich in content, specifically highlighting social issues in the Arab world related to the public sector, private sector and civil society. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Press Releases and Annual Reports from MENA companies are regularly added to the portal via extensive research. Topics that showcase the latest trends, initiatives & developments in the Arab world are uploaded daily to the Forum section of the portal as short news updates. News updates can also be read on en.v’s Blog, Facebook Fan Page, and Twitter Page. Lastly, in the past two years, en.v has also published and distributed six printed publications that can be read cover to cover via en.v’s online news portal, highlighting key topics: Water, Education, Environment, Culture & Society, Governance, and Transparency.
Always on the lookout for new relevant content, en.v welcomes individuals and corporate users to subscribe to an online account – thus giving them the flexibility to upload & manage their own CSR related content via en.v’s CMS module.
en.v aims to become the premiere reference medium for the global Arab community with regards to socially responsible efforts by citizens and corporations alike.
