Open links to other websites in new window, so that the visitors can return to your web page without much fuss. Avoid pop-up boxes , numeric page counters and auto play music. If your website has more than ten pages it would be better to put a search box in the home page so that the visitors can search for what they want without wasting too much time. A good web design ensures more traffic and more visitors. Create a resource page where you can out links of all the websites that agree on a reciprocal arrangement to put your link on their website too. Search engines rank the sites with multiple links higher and thus it will ensure a higher ranking on the search engine results. Don’t forget to include a feedback form that would help the visitors to connect.

Lay outing is important in a good web design. Don’t freeze the layout. Let it be liquid so that the users can adjust it according to the size of their monitors. This is a very important tip; use different colors to differentiate between visited and non-visited links. This way the visitor is not confused and knows exactly where he has been and decides where he intends to go. Design the home page a bit differently than other pages.
