Internet Marketing: The Experts are Lying, Landing Pages Don’t Work
When thinking about creating an online income for yourself through affiliate marketing, you’ll hear these words coming from the so-called internet experts like a broken record “you must have a landing page”. Well, the experts are WRONG, they don’t work.
Everyone in affiliate marketing knows about landing pages and how they are supposed to make your potential buyer “hungry” for the product. The problem with this tactic is that most of your average affiliate marketers cannot design a landing page that will benefit them at all. Sure, if you hire an expert to create a landing page for every product you want to sell as an affiliate, go ahead. It will cost you thousands of dollars for each landing page.
A landing page is supposed to warm up the potential buyer and make them hungry for the product. That is also what the sales page is for. So what makes these experts think that the average internet entrepenuer can create a landing page that is actually going to work better than the sales page that costed ,000 to ,000 to design? Now, I am not saying landing pages are completely worthless… but they aren’t always needed. And like I said before, if you are the average internet marketer, they are most likely going to hurt your chances of making a sale.
How can your landing page hurt your chances of making a sale? Because you aren’t an expert in sales, or are you? On the other hand, if you were, you probably wouldn’t be designing landing pages, you’d be creating sales pages and making thousands of dollars per sales page you create. Landing pages that aren’t near perfect are going to hurt your chances because your potential buyers could be bored with your page, they could think it looks sloppy and not trust it, or they could just be tired of reading information from a nobody. What if those potential buyers were instead directed straight to the sales page… the page created by experts to make a sale.
The point is, if you are creating a decent amount of traffic to an average landing page, you are losing commissions. Send these buyers straight to the sales page and let the experts do what they are paid to do… create hungry buyers and high sales conversions. They have tested and tested these pages to make sure they are converting at the best possible ratio. Do you have enough time to test your landing pages extensively and revise them up to 10 times to make conversions are the best? Probably not. Save your time and your commissions and let the sales page do what it does best, SELL.
