Reputation management can be divided into three categories.
Building: This type of Reputation management builds a good reputation of a company.
Maintenance: In this stage, reputation management just maintains a company’s good image.
Recovery: when a company involves with bad reputation, for any reason, in that case reputation management helps them, to recover their bad condition.
This follows different strategies for maintaining a company’s good reputation. Such as:
Create Online Company Profile: Create your online profile or website, by which people comes to know about your business or products.
What people are saying about your reputation: Always conscious about, what people are saying regarding your business.
Monitoring your reputation: Monitoring your reputation regularly, if possible, perform monthly checks to see if there’s any information about you that could be potentially harmful.
Use Google Properly: Use Google properly, which help you to know, about online reputation of your company or business.
Use word carefully: Be conscious which word you use in any blogging, running web and social media also. Avoid any controversy.
Conscious about your weakness: If you conscious about any weakness of your business, give it top priority for checking on your online reputation.
Protect yourself from hackers: Many people fail to make sufficient protection from online information. You also be conscious about that.
Keep social networks private: You may be involved with many social network sites. Keep your profiles private to all, except those you approved.
Use Pseudonyms: Use pseudonyms in blog or any other social networking profiles. So, you can’t be easily tracked.
Socialmention– A search engine across social media. Receive free daily email alerts of your brand, company, CEO, marketing campaign, or on a developing news story, a competitor, or the latest on a celebrity.

Repcloud – A Face book app that allows you to see what’s being said about yourself or anyone else.
Track Engine – Another site for tracking changes on the Internet, this one is feature-heavy but easy to use.
Versionista – Might be the king of following website changes. Versionista checks for updates hourly and will keep up to 5 versions of a page.
Notifixious – A handy service that you can use to keep updated about changes anywhere on the Internet and in the way you choose: email, RSS, even Yahoo Messenger, etc.
Technocratic Search – generate an RSS feed based on what people are saying about you in blogs.
Tweet Scan – set up alerts based on what people are saying on Twitter. Can also search over Twitter and Identi.ca (another micro-blogging site).
