Network Marketing Tips and Training: Using Social Media Effectively

Network Marketing Tips and Training: Using Social Media Effectively

Using social media is one of the latest of many cutting edge network marketing tips and training you can use to promote your company. In fact, the best network marketing company will take these new methods and use them to their full advantage to achieve maximum network marketing lead generation. But how can you use them effectively? Follow this guide to help you get started with effective social network marketing strategies:

Update Often Enough to Hold Interest –

One of the best network marketing tips you will receive is to update your social media often…but not too often. Depending on which medium you are working in, you may want to update more than once a day, or just a few times a week. Blogs, for example, take a little more work; you have to write content, edit, and post your entries, all of which require a larger time commitment than other media. So you may opt to update your blog twice a week. If you are using Twitter, you are actually expected to update several times per day, as you are restricted to tweeting only 140 characters. Update as you feel the medium suits you, but be aware that your readers have limited time and interest to read everything that comes their way. Steer clear of updating to the point of spamming anyone.

Always Offer Something of Value –

When updating, be sure that you offer something of value for your readers. In fact, sticking to this rule can help keep you from veering off into spam territory. In other words, don’t update just for the sake of keeping your social media sites fresh. There are ways you can make sure you are offering valuable content, such as:

•    Offering network marketing online training for your readers;
•    Advertising new network marketing opportunities that have become available;
•    Answering FAQs about your company or your industry;
•    Offering a new perspective on trends in your industry;
•    Discuss tips and techniques for getting ahead in a home-based business marketing network opportunity;
•    Talk about your own personal struggles as an entrepreneur and how you have overcome them.

You need to give your readers a reason to read your blog, follow your tweets, or check out your Facebook page. Sticking to these guidelines will help you attract a strong and loyal following.

Change Up Your Content –

Finally, a great way to stay in touch with your readers is to change up your content enough that they take notice. For example, if you blog a lot about network marketing tips, your readers may be engaged at first but then they can get bored. Try adding something new to keep them interested; for example, you can do an interview with a successful entrepreneur in your industry and publish your discussion. Try to avoid injecting anything too personal or controversial into your business social media pages. Politics, religion, and other risky topics are best left to your own personal sites. You don’t want to lose out on a potential lead because they are offended by your personal beliefs or values.

7 Ways To Use Twitter Effectively

7 Ways To Use Twitter Effectively

Many people now a days are well versed in the benefits of using Twitter as a means to attract more eye-balls to their business, their website and their promotions, however, they’re really not sure of how to use their Twitter account efficiently.

Now, while there’s really no “one size fits all” “magic-bullet” formula to Twitter marketing, the following six simple tips are a great start:

Adding a link to your business Twitter account to all digital communications is a MUST. Many businesses aren’t sure how to get others to follow them and learn about what’s going on with their business. It’s simple really: Add your Twitter handle (username) to all your communications. This includes emails, your web site and your blog. If someone is visiting your site or blog or reading an email message from you, chances are good that they’re already interested in you and what you have to say. Make sure they get to see what you’ve got to say on Twitter, too.
Always provide links to anything that will support what you’re tweeting about. You have to show your followers that you’re not just talking out your a*s. They need to see that you are a credible source of the information you provide. If you want people to read the latest report on something in your industry, provide a link to it. The more informational articles you offer, the more loyal your followers will be.
Post links to your web site, blog and newsletter on your Twitter account. This will allow your followers to see everything you have to offer. This is also useful in letting your visitors know you are not just some lame “fly-by-night”, “here today, gone tomorrow” operation.
Ask your subscribers for their Twitter username when they subscribe to your mailing list. Your customers will most likely be interested in following you once you follow them. This will also enable you to better understand your customer base and give them what they are really looking for.
Point out links to any of your marketing properties or articles that your followers may ant to post to their own Twitter pages. If you’ve got an interesting article that they may want their followers to read, provide a link with instructions such as “why not copy and paste this link to use for your Twitter account.”
Provide your article readers an easy way to notify their followers of any useful or relevant articles you have posted. This is known as “RT” or re-tweeting.
Post often, but don’t over do it. And when you do post, PLEASE be sure to post relevant useful, purposeful, meaningful content. Too often people are so excited to be caught up in the latest fad and craze that they forget the REAL reason they signed up for it. Twitter is a great tool to market your business, but do not use Twitter SOLELY for blasting ads to anyone willing to follow you. Over posting or blasting nothing but promo ad after promo ad is a great way to lose followers faster than you were able to find them.

For a great way to post useful information to your Twitter account, even when you’re away from your computer, take a moment to download my BRAND NEW “Auto Twessenger” software application. It won’t cost you a dime and installs/uninstalls in less than 2 minutes flat.

Using “Auto Twessenger” will give you the ability to post an unlimited number of messages which will automatically be sent to your Twitter account at the pre-determined times you set them to go out at, even when you’re not at your computer or busy doing that “sleeping” thing.

Social Media Marketing – Social Media Tips for Using Social Media Effectively

Social Media Marketing – Social Media Tips for Using Social Media Effectively

Social networks have made a huge splash in the way people market their sites nowadays. These networks provide a large pool of people to talk to, opening the gates for advertisement. It isn’t enough to just get on these networks though. You have to know how to sue them to your advantage. There is a lot of money to be made through social marketing if you know what you’re doing, but most people who try end up giving up early on. Here are some tips to help you get started until you figure out exactly what it will take to get people to see your business.

One of the first things you want to do is make yourself seem like a person online, not a business. Use a real picture of yourself on your profile, and mention actual information about your life. In the midst of this, you also want to come across as an expert in the field. If you have a certification in what you do or a strong reputation, mention that on your profile. Just make sure that you still seem personable so people don’t think you’re just another advertiser online.

Once you have a personality online, you have to start getting people to see it. Be active on the network, and take the initiative to make friends. Look for other experts in your field to be associated with so you can mutually benefit from any followers you get. Also try to be friends with people who are in obvious need of your services. If someone contacts you, be sure to reply as soon as you can. If you seem like you genuinely care, people will want to work with you even more. They will also begin to trust you, which is crucial for your business.

Never rely on one social network to get your business going. Try to be active on as many as you can, and interlink them so people see that you are active. Put a link you your profiles on your website so people can go there and follow you. Their friends may see you on their list, and they may decide to follow you as well. Networks grow very quickly after that, especially if you have a viral business to provide people. Be a part of community groups and discussions, and people will start listening to you. Then all you have to do is keep up a good reputation.

7 Key Principles To Effectively Use Twitter To Market Your Business

My wife and I love Twitter.  We think it’s a fantastic avenue that creates new and creative ways to meet new people, and not to mention grow your business.  Unfortunately; Twitter has gotten a bad rep when it comes to people misusing it.  Are there any real rules to Twitter? No.

But there are some sound principles that will help you find and keep more followers if you play by them. These are just a few of many of our thoughts on this topic, so take what you will, and pass up what  you won’t.  It’s just our opinions, as well as many other seasoned Twitterers.

These guidelines are for newbie Twitterers, as well as other Twitterers who just want to become more effective at using  Twitter to market their businesses.

1. Add your photo.  Seems obvious – I know.  But I can tell you across the board that Twitterers prefer to follow   and chat with those who have a photo.  And not just any photo…a photo of YOU!  Want to connect with more people? Have   more followers? Take a minute to upload a photo of your smiling face. (Be sure it can actually be seen, too.  If it’s too   far away, crop it and upload it again.)  Keep in mind that your picture represents who you are.  This will be the first   thing potential new followers will see about you.  What first impression do you want to give them?  This is the most  important question to ask yourself before deciding on what photo to upload.

2. Write a bio.  Want followers then make sure you have engaging BIO. People want to know something about you before  they go ahead and follow you.  If you’re not comfortable sharing where you are from with the Twitterer world, then share something about who you are, what your hobbies are, etc.  Have fun with this – it doesn’t need to be formal or even   grammatically correct.  Don’t be afraid to be daring or even outrageous. Be yourself. It’s ok to be different on   Twitter…in fact you’ll get more followers if you are! Others will follow you because you’re interesting to them, or   perhaps you share similar interests.

3. Add an interesting background. It’s the same concept as curb appeal. This is one more way to show your   personality or style, and attract like-minded followers to you. What first impression do you want other Twitterers to   have of you?  Are you fun and spunky?  Are you a traveler?  An outdoorsman?  Sports fanatic?  I can tell you, there are   Twitter backgrounds for every personality. A few places you can find 1000’s of backgrounds for free, or to have a custom background created. Don’t get hung up on this.  Get a background set up…you can always shop around and change it later to something even more fitting!

4. Don’t vomit on people.  Twitter is not just about sales. Use Twitter to meet people first. One of the most common complaints about Twitterers, from other Twitterers, is feeling like you have nothing else to say to them, other than  trying to sell them.  Let’s face it, people are tired of being sold all of the time.  There is a reason Twitter is referred to as a social platform…to socialize!  Imagine walking in to your favorite restaurant or bar, and having another patron come up to you, and then blurt out, “Hi, want to make fast cash now? Do it by buying my program now.”  It just   doesn’t make sense.  It’s a turn off and you will get more people unfollowing you if you do this…or, another possible outcome is they will just ignore your posts since you’re that ‘annoying sales guy who is vomiting their stuff’ on them   all the time.   So first things first, use Twitter to meet people, gather a following.  Refer them to your blog so they can get to know   you.  Once they’re on your blog, now it would be appropriate to direct them to your ad or sales page.

5. Use your welcome message to welcome people…not to advertise to them before they even know who you are.  This is a common mistake amongst those using Twitter for business.  Even those who say, “Hey Joe, thanks for following me. Like to put hundreds more in your pocket? Then click here!” This is another instant turn off.  It comes across as unfriendly and self-centered.  Don’t make this mistake.  Thank them for following you.  If you really want to connect with them, check out their profile page, then you can either ask them a question about it or give them a compliment.  Don’t be fake here be genuine in your giving of kudos or showing curiosity by inquiring about something on their profile page.  Start a   conversation, and then you can refer them to your blog so they can get to know you better.  We like to do business with people we know, like and trust, right?  Help them to do this by starting a relationship first.

6. Use automated tools carefully.  If you sound like a robot, for instance when you send out your automated welcome message, this too will turn people off.  Be personable.  Share something about yourself.  And be sure that your message doesn’t exceed the 140 character limit…it’s obvious you’re using an automated response system when your followers receive  a message from you that is cut off.  To be sure it’s not too long, copy and paste what you intend to include in your auto-message first in Twitter as a draft.  It will show you if you have too many characters, and you can cut it back if   need be before saving it as an auto-message.

7. Be sure to thank people for re-tweeting your tweets…how kind of them to share your thoughts or information!  When  you thank them, they are more likely to want to get to know you, and may likely continue retweeting your tweets.

This certainly is not the be-all or end-all on this topic.  Keeping in the spirit of Twitter, we’ll keep this as short at possible.  I’m anxious to hear your opinions and add to this. I would love to hear your comments.

Go Get Your Success…

How To Use Twitter Effectively For Successful Marketing

Twitter can be used as an effective internet marketing device, what sets it apart from other advertising methods is that you may find yourself enjoying the social networking aspect of Twitter even while you’re providing your target audience with information. You may already be aware that when you send a message on Twitter, it must be less than 140 characters. So the messages you choose to send, although being very short, must still be able to create interest for your customers to open and read them. The more your network grows the larger number of people will receive the information relevant to the business that you are trying to build. This is why it’s important have a big list of friends on your Twitter account if you want to make sure that your message gets seen by enough people.Utilizing your Twitter resources wisely is important if you want to generate a large amount of traffic. If you send out regular tweets across the net you will make an impact on your market but it will only be worth the time invested if you get a comparable return for your energy. Mechanizing your work will help you to be more efficient. At websites such as SocialOomph.com a publisher can schedule the times their micro messages are broadcast. This simple step can save you up to an hour every day, time that you can then devote to other types of marketing. This is a good way to start taking things to the next level. Allowing users to Post links is a wonderful feature offered by Twitter and is a great way to let people know about your website. It would be very easy to post about your business obsessively, and you will want to avoid doing that. You also have the opportunity to get traffic from your profile, as your followers can view your site’s link on it. You can generate a lot of traffic from Twitter if you are smart about what your target market is and how you will gain their attention. It is by winning the trust of your followers, and consistently providing them with beneficial information, that your promotional offers will get the traffic that you hope for.If you want to make things automated, you can use sites such as Twitterfeed to connect your RSS feed to your Twitter account. To make that more clear, every time you update your website, your RSS feed will then post your updates to your Twitter account. This will ensure that your updates are posted on a regular basis. But remember, too many post tweets in too short a time – especially if you’ve nothing else to say in between – will get you labeled a spammer and you’ll lose followers and creditability. You want do your best to have a balance of natural tweets and these Twitterfeed updates. Twitter can provide a windfall for marketers who need solid focused traffic that easily converts to sales. But it does take some time and effort to really see big results with it. To drive traffic where you need it market consistently, update your account both automatically and in conversation and cultivate a large following of tweeters.

How to Effectively Use Twitter: Transparency, Engaging Conversation and Sharing Information

Twitter is a microblogging platform of 140 characters that is deceptively simple. People who do not understand how to correctly use Twitter run the risk of getting the reputation of a spammer – something you definitely don’t want.

The three main keys to an effective Twitter strategy are transparency, engaging conversation, and sharing information. If you do all these three, you will be in a great position for people to know, like, and trust you. And people buy from people they trust.

Before you start using Twitter for promoting your business or your book, you need to do several things as a newbie on Twitter.

Transparency – setting up your Twitter profile correctly

To be taken seriously rather than as a spammer on Twitter you have to correctly fill out your profile.  Your real name goes in the NAME line in your Profile settings.  For example, if your name is Claudia Windward and your username is cwindward – Claudia Windward goes in the name line.  This is the transparency – you are on Twitter as a person even if you are representing a company. If this person’s username was AjaxCompany, her name in her profile should still be Claudia Windward. Your Twitter profile name answers the question of who’s behind the veil.

In the profile URL field, put your website.  If you do not have a website, put the link to your Facebook or LinkedIn profile.

Include a brief bio (less than 160 characters).  Because you have so few characters available, you have to carefully decide how you want to portray yourself. And a little piece of information might be the one thing that causes someone to connect with you. Dog lover? And the good news is that it’s very easy to change your bio whenever you want.

Do include a location. Perhaps because Twitter is global, people like to know where you are. Someone might start a connection with you because of where you are.

And choose a clear headshot for your profile photo.  People want to see what you look like – see your face clearly – in order to have a more personal connection.  And, yes, some people use little icons for their profile photos. In some cases these icons make sense; in others they don’t. Yet if you really want to effectively use Twitter, choose a clear headshot photo that you use in other social media so that people can quickly recognize you.

Engaging in conversation – whom do you want to “meet” on Twitter

Let’s say you’re interested in promoting a fiction or nonfiction book.  What’s the book’s title and subject area?  You should use tweetbeep.com (like Google alerts for Twitter) to track conversations related to book marketing and to the topic of your nonfiction book or something about your fiction book. When you get a TweetBeep Alert, make sure you’re signed in to Twitter. Then click on the names of the people provided by the alert.  If the people sound interesting, follow them.  If appropriate, engage in conversation with them BUT don’t push your book.  You can mention your book but don’t push it.

Sharing information – provide valuable content and learn from other people’s valuable content

Share information (not necessarily your own) in your tweets.  If you read a terrific blog post about book marketing, share the link in a tweet. Of course, share info that’s connected to the “spine” of your Twitter story along with info that makes you interesting as a person. For example, if you’re a publisher, share publishing news. And also tweet about a great movie you just saw.   If someone else shares a link to a blog article or website that you find valuable, send a public reply thanking the person who shared the link and include in this thank-you tweet the original link. Transparency, engaging conversation and sharing information go a long way towards connecting you to other people on Twitter. And Twitter at only 140 characters a tweet can be a very effective marketing strategy.

Using Twitter Effectively

Everywhere you look nowadays you read or hear about people using Twitter. But what are they using Twitter for?

Here are only a few of the purposes for which Twitter can be used:

- Twitter as a replacement for email.

This is because Twitter is faster than email (no need to open an email to read the message) and the tweets are much shorter messages (Twitter’s character limit is 140; does email even have a limit?).

- Twitter as an automatic news filter.

You follow people in your fields of interest and, when they tweet a link of an article that sounds interesting, you can click through and quickly decide if the articles if for you. It’s true that I have Google Reader, but I don’t have time to look at all those blog posts. I’m happy that the people I follow on Twitter do the screening for me.

- Twitter as an up-to-the-second news source.

Twitter users beat the news channels about the plane landing safely in the Hudson River in New York and provided instant updates during the Mumbai crisis, to name two examples of Twitter’s instant update capabilities.

- Twitter as a free press release service.

If you have a legitimate product, service, new article, new blog post to announce, go ahead and do so with the link to the product/service/article/blogpost. Your Twitter followers are expecting you to share valuable information with them.

- Twitter as a networking tool

Using Twitter’s search options and third-party applications, you can find like-minded people with whom to connect. This can be for a multitude of purposes.

- Twitter as a JV (joint venture) partner

Because of the ease of finding people in your same or related niche, you can connect with possible joint venture partners.

- Twitter as a branding tool

If done correctly, Twitter can be a terrific social media platform on which to establish your brand. You can then feed your Twitter updates into other social media platforms to extend your brand across cyberspace.

Of course, when you start on Twitter there is a great deal to be learned. In fact, you never stop learning about the possibilities if you realize the power of Twitter. I continue to read every report, etc. on Twitter that I can – there’s always new information, new ideas, new uses that I learn about.

When you have an open mindset, how to use Twitter 101 can cover so many exciting opportunities. First, of course, you have to share valuable information on Twitter so that people know, like and trust you. Then you may be amazed at the productive uses to which you’ll be able to put Twitter.

Pay Per Click – 5 Ways To Effectively Attract Buyers

Pay per click, the market now lead by Google’s Adwords, is the quickest way to send targeted visitors to your website. The days of testing whether a product has appeal or not is made easier with pay per click (PPC). But before you dive into pay per click advertising, know how the game is played first instead of losing hundreds of dollars for nothing. Below are 5 simple things you can do to create a successful PPC campaign and attract targeted buyers to your website.

1. Your keywords should appear on your URL

Pay per click is a game of keywords. You have spent time on choosing the keywords for your ads but a lot of people neglect displaying the keywords on their URL.

If you’re targeting the keyword ‘profit with adsense’ then your display URL should have this keyword phrase in it.

Visitors looking at your advertisement will see the URL and will assume that the website contains information specifically to what they are searching for.

This will increase the click through rate (CTR) of your pay per click campaigns because Google Adwords for example, will decrease the cost of your clicks if your click through rate is high.

You are getting more clicks for a cheaper price.

2. Test the position of your advertisement

The majority of inexperienced internet marketers will try to bid their clicks for the first position. Various tests have shown that the first position is not the best position. The best positions are 3rd, 4th or 5th.

The reasons are that many visitors will click on the first position and second position. However, for serious buyers (which are the visitors you want to attract) they tend to click on a few more ads because they want to find out more and compare.

So if your PPC ad is on a few positions below the first and second position, it will have more chance of being the last ad they click on. This means they are more likely to buy from you if the offer is better than the previous ones they’ve seen.

3. Test the keywords of your PPC

If you have an ad which is getting a lot of clicks, do not alter it. There are some elements there which are attracting people to click on it. You need to use it as a ‘control’

Create an extra ad and play around with the words that are similar to your ‘control’. You need to continuously try and see if you can beat the CTR of your PPC ‘control’.

Many people make the mistake of altering their ‘control’ and cannot get back the CTR because they forgot what their ‘control’ ad looked like.

4. Your landing page

Once the visitors click on your ad they will see your landing page. This page needs to contain information specifically to what they are searching for. The keywords need to be displayed on the browser’s title and also a headline displaying the keywords is essential.

As soon as your webpage confuses the visitor and they think it is unrelated to what they have clicked on, they’ll leave immediately.

5. Have an email capturing process

No matter if you want to sell your own product or an affiliate product, you need to capture the email address of the visitor on your landing page.

You have paid for the click so now you need a way to communicate with the visitor regularly and have them become your loyal customer. If you’re not capturing email addresses on your landing page then you’re not doing PPC marketing properly.

Pay per click (ppc) costs money so you need to spend time learning how to maximize your dollars. Using these 5 simple techniques you now have a good chance of creating a successful PPC campaign. However you need to also spend time studying different ways of generating web traffic. I’ve spend a lot of time on different techniques to increase web traffic to my blog which is just as effective as pay per click advertising.
