Skills I have added are coaching, project management, designing instruction, building a website, teaching telecasts, and e-marketing.

SEO Has to be First Concern
SEO Has to be First Concern
Search engine optimization, SEO for short, should be the most important concern for anyone that is working on website promotion. Easily, the most affordable search engine optimization in a webmaster’s tools are SEO articles when trying to bring traffic to any website. And most important when working with an SEO marketing campaign is keyword choice and utilization. Here are some basic tips for search engine optimization when creating an SEO article.
The very first step, even before choosing the title or description of the SEO article, is to pick out some choice keywords. This is easily accomplished by going to one of the keyword tools that are available. Yahoo’s Overture, NicheBot, and Google Adwords are the most commonly used. For the cost conscious website creator, each of these services offer free basic searches, but they also offer more advanced versions for a price, which give a lot more information for the advanced marketer.
Choosing keywords for the best search engine optimization is something of an “Art.” There are several strategies that are bandied about, about how to choose the best keywords for search engine optimization. One of these is to choose long tail keywords; but that is another article. For the beginner it is sufficient to decide on about ten keywords that will be inserted throughout the SEO article.
Most SEO article writers will next write the body of the article before placing a title on it. Granted, the writer has a general theme and a particular idea that he wants to get across to the reader, but more often than not, a specific idea will take off into another slightly different direction before the SEO article is completed. Most writers do not see this as a problem because it simply creates more articles for more search engine optimization.
When writing the SEO article, the opening and closing paragraphs should be rich in the use of the chosen keywords; as this is where the search engine spiders will concentrate their search. Then it is best to build the article with each paragraph utilizing two of the keywords specifically. This way, the writer has used all ten of the keywords in about five paragraphs between the opening and closing.
Once the article is written, it is a good idea to let it sit for a day or two, then go back and read it with a critical eye to check for the flow of the primary idea. A well written article that flows well is of utmost importance in search engine optimization, because a well written article with an important theme is more likely to be picked up and distributed around the web. After all, this is the whole ambition behind the SEO article and its role in website promotion.
Once the article is finished, then it is time to choose a title; or revise the original for optimum intellectual and emotional appeal. This is best accomplished using another free tool at the Advanced Marketing Institute: aminstitute.com/cgi-bin/headline.cgi. This tool allows you to experiment with different titles to determine which one has the most grabbing power to the reader’s subconscious. A good title is important because without one, your article will most likely be passed over, and your message will be lost in the sea of SEO articles that are submitted everyday.
Finally you are ready to write the most important part of a search engine optimization article: The Resource Box. This should contain two anchor links; one should be “your website” of course and the other should be your “primary keyword” linked to your site. Some article submission sites allow three links, in which case you should use your “secondary keyword” linking to your site. Most successful writers say that you should not waste space telling about yourself, but rather, the resource box should flow like the article into a “call to action.”
Search engine optimization, SEO, will be greatly enhanced by applying these tips to your SEO article campaigns. This technique is the most affordable search engine optimization available today for website promotion. I am certain you will find these suggestions will greatly enhance your website SEO. Good luck on your article writing.
Getting Started on Your First Social Media Site
Getting Started on Your First Social Media Site
Getting started on social media can often be deceptively simple. Or it can be intimidating.
The truth is that this is a world of official and unofficial rules. It is easier if you start out knowing what’s what, and this is probably especially important if you’re more of an introvert.
Let’s imagine you already use email, search for information on Google, and read blog posts. But you’ve never joined any social media sites. How do you start?
1. Decide how comfortable you are sharing information about yourself. And the corollary to this – how wide a sharing of this information are you willing to do.
If you’re a book author and want people to buy your book, it’s a good idea to decide that you will share personal (although not private) information to as wide an audience as possible. If you only want to connect online with former high school friends, your target audience is much smaller.
If sharing information makes you somewhat nervous, think about what it means to be personal as opposed to private. Personal is a good marketing book you just read that you can recommend to help others; private is a fight you had with your business partner over implementing the marketing steps recommended in the book.
2. Ask online savvy friends which popular site they would recommend you start with based on your goal. (And do start with just one while getting your feet wet in this brave new world.)
- If your goal, for example, is to have a wide audience, then Twitter may be the best choice because of its “open to everyone” format. – If you only want to search for high school friends, then Facebook may be the best choice as you can confine your information to a very small circle and can search by name for those long-lost friends.
- If you want to make connections to help with a future job search, then LinkedIn, whose format is set up for such a process, may be the best choice for you.
3. Once you have chosen the site you’ll start on, do a Google search for information on effectively using that site. That’s right, before you ever sign up, read some blog posts that provide guidance on effectively using the site.
Now this isn’t a research project that serves as an excuse for postponing actually joining the site. Just learn a few of the basic “rules.” And if you do this step, you’ll be way ahead of most other people who start on social media without first doing any research.
And why not learn this on the site itself? Because most of these sites have inadequate information for newcomers or an abundance of information that overwhelms newcomers.
Plus, to encourage you to sign up, the site’s home page says something like: To join now just do this. And it’s only after you’ve provided your name, email, password, etc. that you’re left wondering “What do I do next?”
4. If you’re starting on a site that doesn’t require your real name, choose a username carefully. You want to think about seeing this name used all across cyberspace as lots of social media sites pull information from other social media sites (with your permission, of course).
You may initially think, for example, of choosing the name of your first book. But what happens when you write a second book? Or perhaps using the name of the book won’t work well for a site that is focused on a non-book arena.
Remember that what you do on the internet theoretically lives forever. So this choice of a username should be considered carefully and for continued use in the long-run. (Once you’ve established a good online reputation with one username you don’t want to start at square one again with a new username.)
5. Immediately post a photo of yourself – a headshot in which sunglasses and a baseball cap are not blocking people from totally seeing your eyes. (This does not have to be professional-photographer quality but should not be blurry.)
This photo should be one that will also work on social media sites you will join in the future because you want consistency across these sites. You want consistency to help people recognize and connect with you on more than one site. (The same for your username.)
Keep in mind that the photos for Twitter are quite small. And even if you’re starting on Facebook, only include a headshot of yourself. Do not include other people and preferably not animals and other props.
By posting a good headshot of yourself you’re signaling that you’re interested in connecting with people – real people such as yourself – and you’ll be off to a good start on your first social media site.
Now that you’ve read these five tips for starting on your first social media site, what are you waiting for? Join the cyberspace social media community today. ___
The First Step In A Seo Marketing Campaign
The First Step In A Seo Marketing Campaign
Often, sites view seo and PPC marketing as exclusive marketing techniques. Each marketing method has its advocates. In reality, both have a place in the Internet marketing process. If you intend to pursue a major seo effort, a PPC campaign is a critical early step.
PPC For Testing
Let’s say you have a site offering a service or product in the travel market. You’ve put together a healthy budget and decided to go for broke. Yep, you’re optimizing and trading links in an effort to go after keyword phrases with major traffic and competition. For instance, you’ve decided to have a go at “Europe travel”, which has roughly 400,000 searches each month and major competition for high rankings. You spend two years trading links, adding content and so on. Miracle of miracles, you pop on to the first page of search results. You start shopping for your private jet only to realize a very disturbing thing. You are getting thousands of visits, but few sales. After running calculations, you find the site is converting at 1 in 10,000.
Houston, we have a problem.
A PPC campaign should be used to test your site against keyword phrases before you spend the time and money on an seo campaign. The best platforms to use for your campaign are Google Adwords and Overture. Yes, click fraud is a problem, but less so on these platforms.
After opening accounts and laying a credit card down at the PPC alter, you need to give some thought at to how you will test your keywords. Here’s a hint. The campaign should be designed to test the keyword phrases, not maximize sales. This may sound like a strange statement, but keep in mind the purpose of the campaign. You are determining whether you have picked appropriate keyword phrases for the seo campaign. So, how does it all go wrong?
With both Overture and Adwords, you have the ability to designate the reach of your keyword phrases. Most pick the “broad match” option, which is terrible for testing. With broad match, your advertisements are going to appear for your keyword phrase AND variations of the phrase. Since the ad is appearing on a variety of keyword phrases, the results can give you a false impression of the value of the primary keyword phrase.
Going back to our example, we start a Google Adwords campaign for “Europe travel” and use the default broad match option. After a month, we are happy to find the ads converting at 1 in 70. Having validated the keyword phrase, we set off on the long seo campaign. But are we really sure about the validity of the keyword phrase. Since Google has been known to seriously expand keyword phrases under the broad match option, how do we know that the true keyword phrase isn’t “European travel”? We don’t unless we take a few additional steps.
The first step is to limit the PPC advertisements by bypassing the broad match option. Instead, you want to limit the appearance of the ad only to searches for the exact keyword phrase. In Adwords, this is known as the “exact phrase” match. To designate it, you simply place brackets “[]” around the keyword phrase. Second, you need to track traffic originating from the ads. This can be done using tracking tools on your server or through the tracking options offered by each PPC platform. Regardless of your choice, the resulting data will give a much truer picture of the value of the particular keyword phrases.
Nothing is more aggravating then getting top rankings, but miserable conversions. The only way to beat this problem is to test, test, test. Using PPC campaigns at the outset of an Internet marketing efforts can save you a lot of headaches later on.

Banned Social Media From Your Business? – You Need to Think Again, But Set the Rules First
Banned Social Media From Your Business? – You Need to Think Again, But Set the Rules First
During the past week I’ve met with a number of small business operators and we’ve talked about social media and how they can integrate it into their on line marketing strategy. Using social media networking channels to not only promote your business but to help market products and services is a very cost effective way of driving new business.
Surprisingly, I’ve met some resistance to the concept, coming from an electronic advertising media background, I’m always on the lookout for ways to drive my business, and developing on online presence that I use as a online CV has been very successful for me in generating leads and driving new clients for my consulting business, and I’ve done all of this with very little financial output, as the social media networks I’ve set up have created a distribution network which allows me to get my message out very fast and very efficiently.
Some of these businesses I’ve talked with are now pulling back on their social marketing efforts and several of them are stopping their marketing all together, right at the very time that the number of consumers using social media in this country is growing at such a rapid rate that it is almost impossible to keep up with it.
Now why would you do that?
Lets look at the research first before I answer that question, The Nielsen report, released in mid March shows just how aggressive the growth is amongst Australian Internet users, close to four in five Australians or 78% of the population shared information, photos and links. Twitters audience grew by more than 400% in 2009 and more than one quarter of online users read “tweets” in the last 12 months. 14% of Twitter users followed companies or organisations via Twitter.
Nearly 2 in 5 Australians are now interacting with companies via social networking sites, which reinforces the point that we are very open to engaging with brands and companies online. Nielsen themselves make the statement, “The opportunities for brands and companies to tap in to the social media phenomenon are really just beginning to emerge and to date we’ve only seen the tip of the iceberg”.
The facts are this, nearly 9 out of 10 Australian internet users (86%) are looking to fellow internet users for opinions and information about products, services and brands, and Australians engagement with online word of mouth communication is going to increase in coming years as social media plays an increasingly important role in consumer decision making.
In some cases, businesses have banned Facebook altogether in the office environment, and I know of one big media company, that actively monitors their staffs internet browsing and terminates their internet access if they use the site during working hours.
Given that the average Facebook user spends 8:19 hours per month on the site, and that’s the average, I know some people who spend considerably more per month than that on Facebook, small business needs to find a better way to harness this giant, banning it from their business is not the way to control it.
Now to get to my question above, why would you as a business pull back on your social media strategy at the very time that it’s gaining so much popularity?
The answers are simple:
1. Lack of Resources
2. Fear of negative comments and inappropriate content appearing on company sites
3. No clear rules, policies or procedures being set up within the strategy framework
4. Lack of knowledge of social media within the business
5. No strategy in place, just add hock usage of sites because everyone else is using it
6. Lack of a risk management assessment
7. No reputation management strategy in place
8. Fear of the Unknown
9. Older Business owners with a traditional view of marketing
10. Marketing managers with little or no experience in social media marketing
11. Fear of competitors gaining business secrets
These are a few objections that I’ve personally encountered and in every case, none of these businesses has a marketing strategy in place that covers online.
Don’t stop your social marketing efforts, but do put in place a strategy that covers the essential areas that you need to have locked in place before you begin your social media activities, these are:
1. Risk Assessment – Make sure those in your business understand the risks involved and put in place polices and procedures before you start
2. Define very clearly your reasons for using the sites, what strategy will you employ and how will you manage the engagement from online users. Each site you use needs a very clearly defined set of rules and game plan. Set these for each site you use and monitor the performance of your plan, build engagement and community around your business.
3. Clearly identify the rules, what can be published and what type of information do you want out in the public arena, what is acceptable and what isn’t. Get your staff to sign a disclaimer and make it clear to them what the rules of engagement are. Very important to do this before you start.
3. Resources - Select a social champion within your business and use them to build your profiles and encourage them to help build your community online. Don’t ban it, play it smart.
4. Online reputation management – Now essential for every business working on the web. Set up your management, monitoring and repair rules no matter how big or small your business is. Make sure you know what online consumers are saying about your business and you know how to manage and control those comments if found.
Having a strong online presence will be, no is essential, for your business if you want to compete. No point banning it, you’ll just end up doing your business damage and giving your competitors an advantage, and I really can’t see the sense in that, can you?.
Network marketing – 5 tips on how to survive the first year
Network marketing – 5 tips on how to survive the first year
As in any business the first year of network marketing can be a real challenge. It is important to remember that network marketing is a business and not a get rich quick scheme. It is very common in the first year to become despondent and to want to give up. However for those who persevere the rewards can be endless.
Here are some basic tips that can help to keep you focused and to succeed in your first year of network marketing.
1 .Choose a good leader
Unlike traditional bricks and mortar businesses, success in this business relies on the support of others namely your sponsors or up line. Unfortunately if you do not get good advice and support in the first year your chances of success are slim. It is therefore important to choose a good sponsor to guide you through the process. You will be able to check an individual’s success by carrying out thorough research on them and by carefully monitoring their success.
Remember to always follow your sponsor’s advice and processes and then you will be able to copy their success and create financial security for yourself.
2. Know your products inside out
One major factor in succeeding in network marketing is choosing wisely the company and products that you will be marketing. You will be investing your time and money in to this venture and it is much easier to sell a product that you believe in. Try to imagine what your potential customer is looking for and what benefits or solution your products or services can offer them.
It is important to remember that it is also easier to recruit others into your business if you are achieving good sales and have a product that they too feel that they could sell easily.
3. Learn to “brand” yourself by networking
If you want to succeed in a networking business then being able to promote yourself is crucial to your success. Your network marketing campaign will explain to others why they should join you in your business.
The internet offers many ways for you to market your products. The more tools you master the more successful you will become.  The basic tools are quite simple but mastering them and using them are not quite so easy. You will therefore need to invest time to master them correctly.
When starting your company it is vital to have a good website to entice customers to purchase goods from you. If you cannot create your own website it is advisable to employ an expert to do this work on your behalf as having a good website is crucial to success especially as the internet offers potential global sales.
Once you have your website completed you then need to ensure driving traffic to your website. This can be achieved by paid advertising such as running ad word campaigns if your budget allows.
However if money is an issue ,which at the beginning is quite often the case, then there are free promotion means available such as publishing articles or press releases to free sites. If using the article route is it important to write interesting articles that will hopefully leave the reader wanting to read more of your material and wanting to know more about you. You will need to also ensure that you use strong, relative keywords within your content to ensure driving more traffic to your website.  Most article sites will also allow you to use a URL link to your website within your article.
Other ways that you can promote yourself and engage the trust of potential customers is by using social networking sites such as face book and twitter. By regularly blogging on these sites you will gradually build up a large following who will be avidly awaiting your next entry. This over time will help to gain their trust in you as a person and could eventually lead to them buying products from you.
When you start making money from your business you could then consider investing some of that money into more intensive training. Most reputable companies  offer seminars where you will not only receive invaluable training but will also meet other like minded people who will share their ideas and success stories with you.
4. Treat network marketing as a business
As mentioned earlier network marketing is not a means of getting rich quickly. You will need to treat it as a business and then your results will be positive. You will need to approach it as a business and not a hobby. Network marketing is like gardening in that you reap what you sow. If you plant good seeds you will grow good produce.
Make sure that you set yourself realistic budgets, goals and objectives.
The first year of network marketing is challenging and will help you gauge how successful and how much income you will go on to earn in your business.
5. Teamwork
The most important factor of all to ensure succeeding in network marketing is teamwork and being a good team member. You will need to follow closely the advice given by your sponsor. Then, when you have succeeded in creating a strong sales base of your own, you will need to encourage others to join your business thus creating your down line. You will then need to become a good sponsor to your down line to ensure their success. It is this teamwork that will ensure that you go on to great success.
Much of what you do in your first year in network marketing will determine how successful your business will become. If you survive the first year you will go on to secure great prosperity.
Effective Landing Page In Article Marketing Must Give A Strong First Impression
Effective Landing Page In Article Marketing Must Give A Strong First Impression
The idea of article marketing story is to pre-sell the idea of the landing page by giving useful information and writing the article in a catchy way. It must create enthusiastic waiting mood and make the reader really to want something from the Author Box.
When he has read your article, the reader is warm and eager to click your link. Your article marketing story has touched different sides of the topic and you have used maybe 500-1.000 words for that.
When the reader has read that all, comes “The Moment of Truth”, he clicks the link in the Author Box. What happens? What kind of an experience is coming? Excited or another kilometer long story, which repeats the same arguments, now maybe with other words. More reading, huh! No more thank you and he quits!
Or something better. After reading the article marketing story he is eager to act, to do something. This is a moment, like in Xmas, when he deserves a surprise, a gift, a newsletter, income course or ebook. You have to make him even more excited. Now he is delighted and is willing to seek more surprises from your web site.
Now you have his name and address in your optin list and you can put the autoresponder to work. This is the major idea of an effective landing page. The follow ups are very important and you can mail him a lot of useful, quality material concerning different aspects of your business.
To be able to find a working landing page you can test different versions. Article marketing is a flexible media for this. You simply use different links in The Author Box and see how many of article readers will click the link and how many of them will fill in his name and email address.
To increase the effectiveness of the landing page it is wise to change the copy and the gift or lay-out every now and then, because many visitors are repeated visitors. By changing the free gift you can give them fresh ideas and a reason to visit again. This is a real customer service.
I want to stress the idea of the first impression. If the first impression is bad, it is almost impossible to change it afterwards. But another way round, if it is good, the visit experience will be good, which will lead to bigger website sales and repeated visits.
The copy of the landing page must be short. You just thank the visitor and want to give him a useful gift. What a visitor must do is only fullfilling his name and email address. Nothing else. He understands that those are required so that he is able to donload something safely.

Once you are more comfortable communicating with him or her, you may want to exchange your email or Instant Messenger contact details.
7. Decide the time and duration you will make yourself available for chatting online. (If you are in an engaging conversation, the minutes can easily turn into hours when you chat online!) and set ground rules for how personal chats are going to be. If the content seems to be sizzling up and you can sense that the other party is uncomfortable or if they have a bad day and do not feel like discussing some personal issues, respect their personal space and do not persist or you might find yourself back at the dating site searching for another match.
8. Be attentive to important dates and information so that you can send birthday greetings, congratulations electronic cards etc. to your love interest.
9. Be wary of people who ask you to send money to them online as there are many such people involved in scams which take advantage of lonely hearts.
10. Do not lie, exaggerate or exhibit pessimism. Focus on your strengths and make the most of your assets. Be truthful about your personality, looks, weight and marital status. After all, internet dating may eventually lead to a real-life meeting.
11. Be wary of the “too good to be true” online personalities. Your rich and young hunk may be an old and married grandfather behind the computer.
12. If you decide to meet your love interest for the first time, wear something smart. Choose a public area where there are plenty of people such as a restaurant but not so crowded or noisy till it drowns your conversation. The meeting should be preferably during the day. Do not meet at their place or yours.
13. Should you have any reservations about meeting your online love interest, do not meet him or her. Always use your judgement and trust your instincts.
14. Always inform a close family member or friend where, when and with whom you are meeting. Give them a call to keep them informed once your meeting ends.
Good luck! With this 14 online dating tips for first timers, you’re set to go.
