Marketing is a large part of any entrepreneur’s existence. Whether you want to drive your company’s sales of a certain product or simply drive traffic to your website, marketing is the way you will get the results you want and need. Article marketing is just one marketing method that is popular amongst website owners and managers. Article marketing is the process by which a business or website owner writes articles about his industry while highlighting his particular place within the industry at the same time.


If you want to learn how to generate traffic from article marketing, here are a few hints to help you out:


1. Make sure that your articles contain actual information about your website’s industry. People usually don’t respond well to articles that are blatant sales pitches for a specific product.


2. Keep the articles short and manageable. Most internet readers don’t have the patience for longer articles and won’t read the entire piece. What’s more, the longer the article the less reason the reader has to click through to your site to find out what else you have to say on a subject.


3. Always utilize your article’s resource box to point people toward your website. Instead of using the body of the article to link to your site, use a simple link in the resource box at the end of the article. This one link will be clicked far more often than a link in the middle of the article.


4. Submit your articles to many directories, but don’t flood the internet with the same piece. Instead create several versions of your article to distribute. This way you won’t have to worry about duplicate content penalties and you will look like more of an expert on your subject.


5. Make sure that your articles are well written and that they will “speak” to your readers. Articles that sound like regurgitated content won’t cut it. You will need to show that you know both your subject and the people who are interested in it. The more personal your articles feel the more likely people are to click through to your site.


These are just five simple hints to make sure that your article marketing campaigns give you the traffic results you want to see. Article marketing is one of the best ways to establish yourself as an expert on your subject matter and drive traffic to your website.

How to generate free traffic to your website, you wonder? There are many, many ways to get traffic to your website. However, the trick is to get the “right” visitors to your site. You want to look for the people who are looking for you. If you are in business, then the ultimate goal of your website is to make sales and generate profits. So it’s not enough to just bring people to your site, you want to convert those visitors into leads and eventually into customers. You can just widen the pool of potential visitors by utilizing traffic exchanges and safelist advertising, for example. These methods will certainly bring a flood of traffic to your site. But these visitors usually have a high bounce rate, because they are not looking for what you have offer. They have another motivation for being on your website, like earning visitors to their sites. So we want to focus on ways to drive targeted visitors to your site at no cost. There are many ways to do this as well, but three of the most effective ways today are Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Content Marketing, and Social Networking.

Search Engine Optimization
SEO, as known as Search Engine Marketing is the process of making adjustments to your website to make it more search-engine friendly. This is done through both on-page and off-page methods. On-page methods include adjustments to your header, description, meta keywords, anchor-text, and content to make it easier for the search engine spiders to crawl your site and assess your content. You can also create search-engine friendly URLs with different keywords on different pages. You can also create links on every page to other pages on your site. Another trick is to create a site index to make it even easier for the spiders.
Off-page methods of SEO are concerned with building bridges back to your site through back-links or inbound links. One of the most popular ways to create backlinks is through content marketing strategies.

Content Marketing
If there is one thing Google loves, it is content; relevant and useful information for people using their search engine. Content marketing is a pretty broad area which includes blogging, article marketing, and video marketing to name a few.
Blogs (short for Web logs) are hands down the easiest type of site for search engines to rank on the internet, as well as about the easiest site for an internet newbie to setup and administer. The key to generating traffic with your blog is to consistently post new content and share/promote it. You can do this by using social bookmarking services like ShareMe and Onlywire.
Article Marketing is the premier way to create massive backlinks to your sites. Not only can you post your article on your blog, but you can submit your articles to hundreds of high-ranking article directories. You can use the resource box for your article on these directories to link back to the original article or your blog. When the search engine sees all of these links back to your site, it will boost your page rank.
You can also create backlinks with video marketing. You can also upload any videos you create to high-ranking video sharing directories like YouTube or Metacafe. And just like with the blogs, you can share your articles and videos with social bookmarking services on the Social Networks.

Social Networking
Social Networking embodies one of the most important aspects of marketing, that is building relationships with your prospects. Let’s face it, people usually only do business with people that they like and trust. Social Networking sites are the ideal places to develop and maintain relationships. Besides, sites like Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc. are among the most popular websites in the world and are growing in popularity every day. As I mentioned earlier you can share your content on these sites; or you can simply use them to tell people about your site and build bridges back to your site.
The key on these sites is to be an active participant, but not be a pushy salesperson. Go back and read the first two sentences of this section if you don’t understand why you shouldn’t be pushing your business at total strangers. It’s called a ’social’ network for a reason.
I would advise you to join a couple of groups or forums related to your niche in these networks and observe how people relate to each other. And then jump in and participate in these conversations. Give people a chance to get to know you. And if you can contribute useful information in these forums, pretty soon you will find people looking to join you. Remember, people don’t like to be sold.

Conclusion
So the key to generating free targeted traffic on the internet is to provide useful information to people and search engines. I believe that it is more important to create content that people like though. Because people can create the one thing that the search engines can’t, and that is viral traffic. For example, if I found a really cool site, why wouldn’t I want to share it with my friends and other people who I think might like it? And if you provide people on the social networks with useful information, there is a good chance that they might visit your site looking for more. I believe that if people love your stuff, the search engines will certainly catch up. Besides, people buy and search engines don’t.

Generate Leads with Your Real Estate Landing Page

There are many real estate agents out there who either don’t know what a landing page is, or they don’t know how to use a landing page to produce leads. One of the best ways to generate leads through your real estate website is by using a landing page.

The landing page is where a potential client “lands” upon reaching your real estate website. You can create different landing page for specific purposes. For example, you can create a landing page for clients looking to avoid foreclosure and put information on that page that focuses on short sales and avoiding foreclosure.

A landing page should be designed to increase a potential client’s desire to contact you and make it very easy for them to contact you. All landing pages will vary based on the offer, the marketing strategy, and the product or service being provided. But they will all have some basic traits in common, such as:

1. The headline and subject matter should identify with your target audience, using simple, straightforward language that they will understand. This way impatient readers will get the information they need within a few seconds of landing on your page.

2. Any introductory statements should reinforce the headline and expand on whatever the headline is promising to your clients. It would also be a good idea to include a hyperlink that allows your clients to take some kind of action, whether it is to contact you or to purchase something.

3. When it comes to conversion rates, using “virtual cover” images has been proven time and time again to work better than using just text-only descriptions to entice clients.

4. Use bullet points to accent the featured selling points on your landing page. This will draw more attention to that important information. You might also want to consider including a bullet point that reiterates whatever call-to-action you have at the top of the landing page. This makes having a client take action twice as likely.

5. In case you have impatient clients that just skim through the first two hyperlinks on your landing page, include a big, colorful button at the bottom that can’t possibly be missed.

6. Copy is possibly the most important part of any landing page. It needs to be thick with keywords and phrases that are relevant to your real estate website. This will help your landing page get higher search engine rankings. You need to get as much traffic coming to your landing page as possible before you can generate any leads.

Now that you have potential clients coming to your real estate landing page, what happens when they actually click on those hyperlinks or that big, colorful button? There are several possibilities to look into. The most important thing is that you capture a lead for eventual follow-up, or even get the reader to contact you directly.

One way to do this is by building a contact form with a thank you page. This option allows your clients to fill out a brief contact form that either requests to be contacted or requests more information. The form will only ask for the most basic contact information, such as the client’s name and email address. Once the client submits the form, a thank you page will pop up.

Another option would be to use a form with an auto-responder. This option allows the information the client requests to be sent directly to them as an auto-response email. This encourages people to subscribe to newsletters.

The last option is to have people simply email you requesting information. This is an easier method to put in place, but it might take more work on your part. With this option, the reader simply emails you to request free information, and you send a reply email with their request. You get the same results with this low-tech approach.

How to generate web traffic and Succeed With Your Affiliate Marketing Programs

As an affiliate, your main objective is to sell the products and services offered by your partner merchants. Unless you can do this, you can never hope to make a significant amount of money with affiliate marketing programs. So how do you boost sales? All things being equal, you will need to increase your site traffic before you can experience more sales. By the law of averages, the more people are aware of the products you are offering, the more products you will sell.

Here are a few tips that can help you boost your site traffic:

1. Optimize for the search engines. The most successful sites on the internet are the most visible ones. Now there are various ways to achieve increased visibility on the internet, but the foremost method is that of search engine optimization. The details are too technical to discuss here, but the purpose of search engine optimization (SEO) is to help your site achieve higher rankings on the search engines. If you have used a search engine, you will notice that any particular keyword search will return thousands, if not millions of results. Most people will not bother to browse through all those results; they will prefer to look into the sites already displayed. Statistically speaking, the sites listed on the first results page will garner the highest amount of traffic, putting those sites in a better position to make money.

2. Joining internet directories. While internet directories are no longer as widely used as search engines, some people do use them. It is important that you do not overlook the potential customers that these directories can bring to your site. To join an internet directory, you will have to submit your site for approval, and you will be categorized accordingly.

3. Provide fresh content. Your site must continually be updated if you expect your visitors to keep coming back. Your site must have useful content, as well as tools that will help your target audience. Make your site as easy to navigate as possible, and be sure that your links work the way that they should. There is nothing that frustrates people more than a “broken” website, and once your site has been labeled as such, chances are slim that many people will want to come back.

4. Build an online community. In other words, build relationships with your potential customers. Make your visitors feel welcome and appreciated, and they are likely to come back. Be interested in solving their problems and they will thank you with their business.

Making your affiliate marketing program work is really not that much different from operating a traditional business. The only way you can keep your customers is to treat them right. The Japanese have a saying: The customer is God. As long as you treat your customers with respect and exert effort in trying to meet their needs, you will find that they will be more than willing to help you with yours.

Affiliate Marketing and Requesting Customer Support

As a webmaster, you are bound to run into problems. Even though you have spent a good amount of time learning the affiliate marketing trade, sooner or later you will run into some challenges that you will need help to resolve. Areas such as e-mail services, affiliate marketing software, and online services are often particularly troublesome.

Unfortunately, getting help is not often easy, even from your web host. But there are ways to make the process simpler for both sides. Here are some questions that you might consider before you call your service provider:

Who are you? This is a common problem. Many people report their problems without providing their personal information, such as their username. Unless the support team knows who you are, how do you expect them to solve your problem?

What is the problem?Be specific. Identify which product or service is not working properly. Keep in mind that you are just one of your web host’s customers. Unless you can pinpoint the problem, chances are pretty slim that you will receive appropriate and timely help.

What software are you using? Your web host’s support team will need information on the software you are using. For instance, they will ask you what type of system you are using in your computer. It is a well-known fact that certain applications do not work well on certain systems. Be sure to give any relevant details about the services or applications that you use.

When did the problem start? Identifying the time you became aware of the problem is important. If you have recently made any changes to your system and the problem appeared soon after, it is quite likely that particular change is the cause. Don’t withhold information from the support team; every bit of knowledge is crucial to identifying the source of difficulty.

What have you tried to fix the problem? If you have attempted to fix the problem yourself, be sure to include an account of your attempts in your report. Letting the support team know what you’ve already done will help them save time, and also make a more accurate diagnosis of what’s wrong.

Have you kept it simple? For security purposes, some support systems do not allow HTML display. To avoid having your e-mail intercepted, it is best to send your messages in plain text format.

Remember to be polite. Keep in mind that the support team is composed of human beings – they certainly will not appreciate if you maltreat them. Never insult them; never use profanity. If you want your problem to be resolved, it is better to hold your peace and act civilly. Despite what you may think, you are just one of their customers — they reserve the right to discontinue their services to you whenever they like.

These pointers will not always get you the speedy service that you deserve, but they can certainly help.

Affiliate marketing is a difficult business enough without making enemies. By taking a little time to see things from your support team’s point of view, you can drastically improve the quality of service you get.

You are working hard to prop up and make your affiliate business succeed. However, it seems like whatever method you try, you feel like affiliate business can do more. Yes, you are right. There are a lot of marketing methods available these days, but only very few are proven to be very effective. One of these is article marketing.

What is article marketing? Article marketing is the marketing method of providing well-written, valuable, and useful content for distribution to epublishers and websites in exchange for a short description about the author, his business and his contact information. High-quality articles are an effective way to establish the credibility of a business and inform the market that your business exists. A high-quality article marketing program consists of four parts:

1.    Articles
2.    Marketing
3.    Directories
4.    Traffic

Articles

Articles are your cold calls to offer your product, service, or expertise to a prospective customer or client. These should arouse the interest in them to visit your website and see what is being offered to them. Thus, articles are an effective way to drive traffic to your site faithfully. Your articles should be written specifically to target particular niches and to be distributed and posted to content publishers catering to those markets. In short, your articles are the advertisements of your website.

Marketing

Marketing is not only about selling your products and/or services. It’s actually a necessity for your online business to succeed. Thus, the articles you will be using to promote your website should be written with the goal to market not only the site but also the products and/or services you have.

Directories

Directories are the channel that connects you to your target market. It all boils down to valuable information, you as the provider of the information through these directories and your potential clients as the seeker of information who wish to get the information they need through these directories.

Traffic

Traffic is the ultimate reason why you are doing your article marketing program. You want as much traffic as possible for your website, because the more traffic your website gets the more chances of traffic conversion to sales you have.
In conclusion, these four should be done well in your article marketing program! Because if they are, then you can expect exceptional revenues coming your way!

Writing a “how to” or an informative article can be a great way to establish yourself as an internet marketing authority, while at the same time generating free leads for your business. For this reason, if you’re a newbie internet marketer I recommend writing one new article a day. It can be quite difficult however to constantly come up with new article topics. Listed below are some methods I use to come up with article topics.

1) Write About a Marketing Method You Use

If you’re new to the internet marketing industry, whichever company you’ve joined will ideally have provided you with full training on marketing strategies. Do you market with Facebook? Twitter? Listjoe? Articles? Press Relseases? Google AdWords? Marketing strategies alone should give you 10 or 15 solid article topics. Simply write a “how to” article describing how to use each method for marketing purposes. You really don’t need a lot of experience to do this. There are so many people out there right now who have no clue on how to do any of this that you’re already ahead of the game if you have any background in it at all.

2) Read a Marketing-Related Book

The book doesn’t have to be purely an internet marketing-based book… it could be a book on how to run a business, business and mindset (one VERY important variable in succeeding in this industry is mindset, and there are plenty of books on the topic), or anything else somehow related to succeeding as an internet marketer. I was recently speaking to a friend who mentioned a chapter in a book he was reading called “The 10 000 Hour Rule”. The 10 000 rule (based on fact) states that to become world-class at anything you will need to have spent about 10 000 doing whatever “anything” is. This apparently applies to literally almost anything… becoming a world class guitar player, hockey player, chef… internet marketer. Anyway, that’s not the point here. The point here is that an article on this topic could easily be written and related to succeeding in the internet marketing industry. So open the nearest marketing-related book, go to a random chapter, and chances are you can likely write an article on the chapter topic. I am not advocating plagiarism… give credit where credit is due of course.

3) Expand on Previous Topics

It’s likely whichever articles you’ve written contain subtopics. A great way to generate new article topics is to expand on a subtopic of a previous article. Have you written about social media? Then maybe you want to write an article about each individual social media site. Then perhaps there’s a specific topic about each site you’d like to expand upon. This method can be incredibly useful in producing a large number of new topics when you’re stuck for ideas.

4) Read Other Internet Marketing Articles

Again this is not to say that you should plagiarize. Simply seeing what other people have written about can have you generating ideas you wouldn’t have thought of otherwise. Researching articles of specific people can also be great for coming up with ideas. If you know of any top producers in the industry, or people who do particularly well with article marketing, see what they’ve been writing about.

5) Speak to Other People in the Industry

Attend your company’s live training or simply speak to other members of your company. I’ve come up with a few good ideas simply by chance through talking to my peers, i.e. the 10 000 hour rule (above). Additionally, your company’s live training should expand on training methods you’re currently using, which should give you other ideas on what you can write about.

6) Read the News

It’s no secret that the economy isn’t in such great shape right now, but reading the news can give you specific ideas about what is currently happening. Is a specific sector or company doing particularly poorly at the moment? What’s one solution for people working in that company or sector? Starting a home based business in the internet marketing industry. Tagging your articles with keywords related to current events (keywords that people are searching for a lot) can help to generate a lot of views for such articles.

You should be able to come up with many solid article topics using the methods listed above. If you’re truly stuck, brainstorming should never be underestimated as well. Once you come up with a fresh new idea you may be able to expand upon it and create several more new articles.
