A great website should be graphical, unique, user-friendly and fast loading. A web design and Development Company should design the website to cope with web 2.0 and W3C standards. The website design company should be as per the diverse trend and taste of global visitors.
The web development service provider should research and analyze the competition and trend related to the website. The website design should be user-friendly as well as implement SEO techniques. The following tips would be helpful in designing a better website –

• Keep your web page short. Visitors don’t like to scroll down so avoid large pages.

I often get attracted to high quality ad banners displayed on various Web Design Forums or SEO Forums etc and they are tempting enough to be clicked. It seems that’s the end of it as I come back immediately after visiting the landing page.
Most of the serious advertisers are into pay-per-click, banner advertising, pop-up ads and other internet advertising methods to generate more traffic on their websites and convert them as well.
No doubts they must be getting a huge amount of traffic through their publishers, however; does that really convert for the advertisers?
Most of the traffic is sent to landing pages, if not the actual websites and the visitors get to read quick notes about where they are and what they will get if they fill up the short form glittering at a side on that well designed web page. A landing page provides an entry point to your website for visitors who reach your website by clicking through from an external link. When someone searches for one of your keywords and then clicks through to your website they should enter on a page containing information specific to that keyword.
Advertisers may end up paying more for less if the landing pages are not suitably design or if it is missing important call to action elements.
The landing page should have a great header with a wide image, highly relevant to the product and its benefits. Visual descriptions are more suitable for human brains.
Bullet points must be there to describe the product and services quickly. Remember visitors are mostly in a hurry or want to act fast.
A strategic placement of Call to Action elements will guide the visitors to the Enquiry form. For. E.g. use of arrows, excellent buttons
A very well designed form with enough space for Name, Emails can attract more leads.
Use of fresh and bigger fonts to enhance the reading experience. It helps the visitors read more.

I have been blessed due to the fact that I am not a “true” webmaster, but I have still been able to achieve high search engine rankings for a number of keyword phrases that I need to dominate my niche markets. You can get great search engine rankings by following a few simple techniques and then by focusing on creating your site for real people. I share this information with you today because I constantly see programs that will help improve your search engine rankings, but I honestly believe that most of them aren’t very effective.
One example of the programs in which I don’t waste my time is the many link building programs across the web. Even though link building can be very important, my suggestion is that you just let inbound links come naturally. If you have a good website, then people will link to you. Also, if you get the chance to set up a simple affiliate program, then even more people will link to you.
I recently read an article that said that some websites with Google page ranks of 7 or higher will actually let you pay them thousands of dollars per month in order for them to link to your website. All I can say is: WOW! You better hope that the search engines don’t find out! If you haven’t heard, there can be some serious consequences for websites that have been discovered buying or selling link placement.
O.K., so I would like to cover a couple of things that you can do to get easy and effective SEO without spending a dime. Also, by following these steps, people will eventually start to naturally link to your website. Let’s start off by further explaining the power of having a blog on your site. A blog is a really easy way in order for you to build tons of good content for your website and to start getting more links. Many bloggers discover that they can get a lot of free exposure to their blogs in a short period of time.
Let me share an example: For one of my sites, I got “slapped” by Google for the critical keyword phrases that I needed to advertise my business. This means that Google wanted to charge me between and per click for those keyword phrases. In an attempt to fix things, I decided that I should add a blog to that same website. After only a few weeks of posting, Google had started ranking my website naturally for the same keyword phrases that they wanted and a click for! Why did Google change their minds? Well, it was due to the simple fact that I started easily creating pages and pages of quality content through the blog that focused directly on those keyword phrases. When it comes to SEO, content is king, and if you can start to grow a nice blog, then you will grow content fast.
At times Google and other search engines will start naturally visiting your website in order to spider, index and rank your pages, but this can sometimes take months to happen unless you follow this next huge tip. This tip is to provide Google and Yahoo with sitemaps to your website. It isn’t very hard to figure out how to do this, and your website will start to get spidered and ranked pretty fast, all for just providing the search engines with a “map” to your website! Just go to http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools in order to start submitting a sitemap to Google, or for Yahoo you can head on over to http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/. If you don’t know how to write a sitemap, then there are also programs across the web that will do it for you.
One last piece of simple SEO advice that I have to share with you is that you should still include titles and meta tags in the html of your web pages. You are also going to want to make sure that you “theme” these pages. Even though the search engines don’t rank your websites according to the titles and meta tags like they did in the past, the search engines will still use these titles and tags as a “guide” in order to see what type of content you are providing. When you provide these titles and tags, you will want to make sure you use similar keyword phrases within the body of your web page. For example, if you had a web page on grocery savings, you would want to maybe have the title say “The Grocery Savings Zone.” You would also want to make sure that the content on that page mentioned grocery savings a few times, and you would also want to have your meta tags include phrases similar to grocery savings.
Following these 3 simple techniques for SEO together will prove to be most effective. As you grow your blog, your new posts will be easily spidered, indexed, and ranked because of your sitemap submissions. Also, by providing titles and meta tags on your other web pages, you will easily allow the search engines to discover the main themes for your site. Before you know it, you will see high search engine rankings for a number of your pages all because you followed a few basic and effective techniques.

Technical versus Creative
When designing a new website or redesigning an older website, there is a delicate balance between the creative—the look and feel of the website—and the technical—which is what makes the website work.
Over-emphasis of one, or the other, will result in a website that either looks great, but doesn’t function that well, or will create a website that functions great but doesn’t look good at all.
Many website designers are either very technical or very creative. Seldom do you find a website designer who is great at both dealing with the technical issues of building a website and who is also a great graphic designer.
Getting the Best of Both Worlds
Ideally, you will want to find an individual or company which can provide you a high level of expertise in the look and feel of the website, and provide outstanding technical solutions.
While graphic designers can generally create beautiful website designs, their ability to create complex technical solutions may be very limited.
And conversely, a programmer or web developer who is very technically savvy may not be able to give your website design that extra sparkle it needs to truly shine.
Web Designers are not Programmers
Programmers create applications or software and typically have no training or expertise in how a website should look or function.
Most programmers, while technically competent, know computer languages inside and out and can code your website, but programmers typically have no graphic design training. Most programmers come from a university’s computer science curriculum, and few, if any, will take a graphic design class an elective.
While you want your designer to be able to solve technical issues or at least oversee them, website visitors are visually interacting with your website, so the look and feel of your website, navigation and organization of information is extremely important.
Great Website Designers See the Big Picture
Truly great website designers will have the ability to look beyond the challenge of creating your website, and will also want to know where your website fits into your overall marketing strategy, and what the primary goals are for the website.
Too many websites are created without paying close attention to what the website will actually accomplish.
Establishing primary and secondary goals for a website is very important. However, building the ultimate website that misses the mark or fails to achieve basic website goals is just a waste of everyone’s time and money.
You can usually tell if your website design resource is looking beyond the immediate project by the questions they ask—or don’t ask.
Speak English, not Techno-Babble
A great website designer will be knowledgeable, but will not resort to using excessive techno-babble to confuse or overly impress a client.
Great web designers know what they are talking about, but should not talk down to you, the client.
Educated clients are the best clients. You don’t have to know everything your developer knows, but you need to know that they are truly competent and they can communicate effectively with you.

While many people and companies provide website design services with a high degree of expertise, the level of professionalism varies from individual to individual and company to company.
When first contacting a potential website designer, look for signs of professionalism—or lack of professionalism. When you call them, do you receive a call back in a timely fashion? Does the developer or company keep regular office hours? When you send an email, is it answered promptly and are the responses professional?
It’s always best to try and avoid working with a less than professional company, but evaluating someone before you have a chance to start working with them can be difficult. From the first contact you make with your vendor, be on the lookout for signs that someone may be less than professional.
Working with an individual or a company that is not professional will only lead to frustration on your part as the project moves along or grinds to a halt.
But working with someone who understands the business world and values your time, returns your calls and emails promptly and professionally, will help make the project experience much more pleasant.
Tips for Finding a Great Web Designer
1) Get referrals.
If you have business associates or if you know business owners who have great websites, ask them who provided their website expertise, and if they would recommend a developer or company to you.
2) Review portfolios or example websites.
Have potential designers you are considering to show you their work and to walk you through a few website projects, explaining their development process in detail.
3) Ask questions.
Interview your potential website designer, just as you would when interviewing someone to work for you. While it may be a short term assignment, it’s still an important project and both time and money is at stake.
4) Get a detailed proposal.
Before starting your project, make sure to get a detailed written proposal from your resource. A clearly written proposal will detail the technical approach to be used, all work to be provided by the website vendor, all project costs and assumptions.
Make sure the proposal details all the project requirements and spells out how additional work will be defined and approved. Make sure the proposal clearly details the responsibilities of both parties so there is no finger pointing if there are project delays.
5) Check vendor references.
Before signing a proposal or giving anyone a go-ahead on your project, be sure to get references for both individuals or the company you are considering using for your project.
Call and speak to previous clients who have worked with the potential website designer and be sure to ask how problems with the project were dealt with.

The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) recently released a Press Release showing the figures for foreclosures across the continental USA were the highest in the organisationâs 55-year-long history of carrying out surveys.
The delinquency survey which the MBA carries out covers more than 44 million mortgages and it showed that the previous highest percentage of defaulting home owners recorded was in 2006 and it was 0.43%. This has now risen to 0.58% of all loans made.
Small as the percentage may be it shows that more than 286,000 loans entered the foreclosure process during the quarter in question.

What is probably happening is that we now are beginning to enter the phase where the number of foreclosures is reaching a plateau prior to the market picking up and the four States in question are still locked in the shake up that releases new properties into the market and corrects house prices through the foreclosure mechanism.
The million dollar question is, of course, just how close are we to the end of the real estate marketâs woes. Hard to tell. There are still figures coming through which may represent the tail end of foreclosures but that tail end could be both quiet substantial and prolonged. There are other factors affecting foreclosures and defaulting such as the ability to create new jobs in the economy and if that shrinks it affects home owners.
Overall we can see there is now light at the end of the tunnel and that is great news indeed. What we are not sure of yet is how long the tunnel is.
