Search engine optimization is the process of increasing the rank of ones website if any one searches it on any search engine. For accomplishing this,the web designer should choose keywords that can help to bring higher position in search results. Choosing correct keywords and phrases into the content of the site can boost ranks in search engine. This will help the researcher choose the most suitable keywords which have high rate in searching and low rate in competitive. This step will help one to reach to the link much faster.   Web designers should keep certain points in point in order to get started in this vital part of search engine optimization.

There are people called search engine marketers whose main task is to make sure about the keywords and phrases that need to be there in a website for search engine optimization. The keywords should be selected keeping in mind that they should have search requests from users, the words having no search requests can prove to be detrimental for popularity of a website.

Now the question rises that how one can find appropriate keywords for search engine optimization. For this issue, the web marketer should discuss in detail with his pals and partners about the target audience and their interests and preferences. One has to search in detail about which keywords are more searchable and bring the website at higher rank in a search engine. It is important to note which phrases are likely to bring cognitive visitors to ones website. For this, the phrases and words to be chosen ought to be relevant and consistent with the website content. Otherwise irrelevant visitors may find the website and report it useless.

Next step is to make a list of 15 to 20 strong and common keywords and phrases that are related to content of website and products. One has to make sure that for a sensible and long lasting search engine optimization, the keyword should be no more than 3 times per page. They have more chances to be searched. Besides, the marketer has to know about the intent of the visitor. The terms chosen should include standard industrial level words as well as layman phrases. Make sure the terms must be chosen after viewing other websites and the phrases they have used. Nowadays market has many tools that will help the website marketer to determine the competition for target keywords and phrases. Identify the search phrases that have been unused by the competitors. One can judge which of the keywords have more competition and which have less that might help one to decide among various words and phrases.

It’s sometimes difficult to stay inspired when you’re churning out custom web designs on a daily or weekly basis. Strict deadlines and a heavy workload can leave some web designers feeling “creatively drained” or uninspired.

 

The challenge for every designer is to consistently come up with great web designs that are fresh and also consistent with the client’s brand and goals. So here are a few basic web design tips to get those creative juices flowing when it’s needed most.

 

Step away from the computer:

This might seem like a pretty straightforward exercise but taking a twenty-minute breather away from the computer screen will help you stay refreshed. Often the best thing you can do once you’ve hit that creative wall is to simply take a short break from working on a web design. A short walk outside of your familiar office surroundings might give you a fresh perspective on any design challenge.

 

Back to basics:

Often clients will provide you with an existing logo or brand to serve as the basis for the rest of your web design. Designing an inspiring website for an uninspiring corporate identity can be challenging. The best you can do is to look at the basics of the logo and existing brand. Start by looking at the basic shape and colours of the logo you’ve been given. Interesting colours and shapes can complement even the least inspiring logo.

 

Colour:

Your client’s logo might be as bland as a manila folder but creating a quick colour pallet around a given brand or logo will quickly lead you in the right direction. Online colour libraries are great for thinking out-of-the-box in terms of colour.  Kuler is a free web-hosted colour application that enables you to create and edit various colour themes and combinations. You can also find colour inspiration by adding an adjective to the word “colour” in your search bar, e.g. retro colour. You’ll often find interesting results coming up in Google images.

 

Reference sites:

The web is saturated with great web designs. One way of keeping in step with the latest web design trends is by visiting Web design or CSS galleries. CSS galleries often showcase the latest web design portfolios and trends.  Another great online source of inspiration is The Behance Network. This social media platform showcases the work and portfolios of various talented artists, illustrators, designers and photographers.

 

Bookmark:

An online bookmarking tool will come in handy when you’re browsing the web for inspiration. This way you can keep track of which sites you referenced for which projects or ideas. Delicious is large social bookmarking tool. You can also use the bookmarking tool in your Google browser.

 

Subscribe to a magazine:

Stay up to date with current industry trends and design innovations by subscribing to a design magazine. A monthly subscription forces you to read the latest design and industry news on a regular basis.  The creative review offers great insights into the latest industry news and events.

 

Typeface:

Typeface is a preference and sometimes in web design things like legibility and the style of the website will determine the type that you use.  You don’t have to limit your use of fonts to the selection of default fonts on your computer – rather take a look a how other web designers are using fonts in an interesting way. Take a look at some of the webfont sites and out there.

 

Coming up quality web designs on a regular basis requires some creative inspiration. The web is saturated with creative web portfolios and fresh design ideas. If however the Internet’s not doing the trick, you can always take a stroll outside and smell the flowers.

Promotion

Hyundai’s Assurance Program began in early 2009 when the economy was at its worst and unemployment was rising rapidly. The Hyundai Assurance Program promised that if you got laid off from your job, you could return your car and not even have to worry about honoring the rest of the note payable. The promotion was innovative but coming from a major car corporation was it believable? The attention the campaign received from the press and from many blogs and websites was skeptical.

Hyundai began promoting the idea on Facebook and Twitter. They asked everyone to buzz and tweet about it and people responded with enthusiasm. The idea of social networking for business exposure is not new but the strategy was extraordinary because it laid the groundwork for the campaign and gave it credibility. It was a brilliant way to market a promotion that really did work. Sharing this information on Facebook and Twitter turned out to be a big plus for the car company’s marketing campaign.

Hyundai sales are up 6.2 percent through November 2009. This marks the eleventh consecutive month of year-over-year gains in retail market share by Hyundai. The Hyundai Assurance Program is without doubt one of the reasons their sales have increased this year while other car manufacturers have floundered.

Corporate Responsibility

Zafar Brooks, Director of Government Relations and Diversity Outreach at Hyundai, has a refreshing perspective on the value of social media when combined with corporate outreach programs. The Hyundai “Hope on Wheels” program fights pediatric cancer by funding cancer research programs across the country. Brooks understands the importance of authenticity and relevance in social media outreach, particularly on behalf of corporate charitable programs.

He said: “Consumers are more sophisticated now — corporate social responsibility programs are no longer something that is ‘nice’ to do, but it’s expected of the company,” noted Brooks. “Simultaneously, consumers will smell-out what is not authentic — Hope on Wheels isn’t advertised, but is part of the news we share with our brand loyalists,” he said. “It is a part of our story because it is a part of who we are and what we are about. Social media should be authentic and organic.”

Mr. Brooks added, “Brand leaders must align themselves with a cause that is consistent with corporate values so they can illustrate their relevancy. Leadership has to establish the priorities around which we stand and make it part of our messaging point.”

Brooks concluded: “All social media should link together with a common objective to develop a program based on who we want to talk to about what we want to accomplish. Social media outreach must be part of a cohesive approach. Consumers will smell-out what is not authentic!”

Aftermarket

Hyundai Aftermarket recently announced the launch of a new social media campaign. The goal was to give Hyundai owners a new way of finding content on the internet about modifying their vehicles. The interactive social media campaign involves additional features being built into the Hyundai forum that owners can use effectively to get the word out about what they are doing to make their cars stand out from the rest. Twitter accounts and Facebook “Fan Pages” have been built so that owners can follow live updated news feeds about Hyundai Aftermarket as well.
