One Way Link Building
One Way Link Building is one of the most effective ways to enhance the value of your website as far as the search engines are concerned. The problem is it can take a long time to build one way links. You need to find sources that will provide you with a one way link. Unfortunately, many of the sources you do find will only be interested in reciprocal linking which is not as valued by the search engines as one way links. So how can you get many quality links to your website or pages that only go one way – your way?
Automated One Way Link building Services
Addressing the need for one way links and the difficulty in obtaining them, there are a number of online services that provide the solution. But not all are created equal and it depends on what type of site you are trying to promote as to the suitability and value of these solutions.
Some focus simply on getting backlinks to your website’s home page regardless of the page that is being used to provide that link. So you could end up with a page about auto-insurance providing a backlink to a site about language learning. The obvious problem here is the two are not related. So it is a disincentive for natural traffic from the former site to click through to the backlinked site to a site that has nothing to do with their interest. Worse still, smart search engine algorithms are also looking for relevancy between one site linking to another and will score the link value accordingly.
Deep Linking
Another problem is the links may only be pointing to your web site’s home page. While this was adequate in the past, the major search engines now want to see some links to actual pages that users found to have value. For example, if a guitar tutorial site has a page with instructions on how to play a popular song on the guitar, there will be people that would want to bookmark that specific page for later reference. Similarly with links search engines expect to see links to specific pages of value. This is known as deep linking. And not only does it carry weight with search engine optimization and value of your site, it also helps get those individual pages ranking in the search engine listings on their own merit. This means more traffic to your site’s home page and more traffic to your site via deep linked pages. If you have a useful site with pages of useful content, you’ll want to get a backlink solution that will build deep links to your site from other sites with relevant content.
Link Contextual Relevancy
Not only do you want one way links that are deep linked, but they should be deep linked with contextual relevancy. For example it would be relevant for a guitar tutorial web site to be linked from a musician’s website discussing guitars and music.
You Should Not Neglect Building One Way Links Manually
Are you making a concerted effort to create quality one way links regularly? If you are then you’re already doing the right thing and I recommend you keep doing so. What does and what doesn’t work in SEO depends on what the search engine algorithms are programmed to do, and this is a constantly evolving area. So personal SEO effort should always be made to bolster and secure your site’s SEO value. A good backlink service will attempt to build backlinks as if web site owners naturally created them. This is what you want to not only give you immediate SEO value, but hopefully to preserve it in the future as search engine algorithms are updated. Therefore backlink services should be looked at as an enhancement to SEO not a replacement for manual SEO. If you get the right service, it will help you get quality, contextually relevant one way links quicker. It will save you a lot of time and effort in the process. And it will help you seriously build your site’s rankings and authority much more quickly.

Great Web Content â Higher Search Engine Rank

Hereâs a scenario you donât want to happen:
Youâve spent hours and hours researching the best most profitable keywords for your particular affiliate web page. You chose these keywords because they have good demand, people are searching these terms yet they are not so competitive that they are impossible to rank well for within the top 2 pages of Google MSN or Yahoo.
Youâve also gained a few quality inbound links via reciprocal link partners and writing a few relevant articles that have inbound links pointing at your target page.
The search engines have rewarded your efforts by giving you a top 20 listing this popular search term.
You notice an increase in traffic to this page. No doubt due to the exposure in the SEâs.
After a few days you notice your page is dropped like a hot potato and your top 20 ranking is gone youâre now on page 11 buried… never to be found!
Lets back track to see what might have happened.
1. Web surfer types in your popular term into the SE (MSN, Googleâ¦) (great!)
2. Your listing displays in the first two pages of search results (great!)
3. Visitor reads your description which seems relevant and decides to click and visit your page (great!)
4. Visitor enters your page and quickly leavesâ¦(Not great!)
What happened?
You did everything correctly in leading the visitor to your page with good keywords and offpage optimization, but they left because your web content was not compelling, relevant or interesting enough to grab and keep their attention.
You will eventually lose SE rankings if the major SEâs detect this pattern of visitor behavior, that is, where the visitor finds your site through legitimate keyword search yet quickly clicks back to the search results page and continues looking.
Why?
Because the SEâs will deem your pages not relevant for that particular search term.
Remember, there is a correlation between web content – higher search engine rank and increased online traffic.
It is therefore critical to write compelling, interesting relevant content especially for affiliate type websites. Do not try to hard sell the affiliate products you are trying to get visitors to click on (your merchant site). Instead, pre-sell them with the best information stressing in real terms what the benefits are to the visitor. You want them to willingly click on the merchant link with an â open to buy â mentality.
There is an art to writing content to pre-sell your visitorsâ¦
Here are a few tips:
Stress the Benefits Early
What you say will greatly effect if the person stays or leaves your web page. This seems like the most obvious thing yet so many web sites get it wrong. You must quickly within the first few seconds (remember this is internet time) establish the benefit of whatever your page is promotingâ¦and how it is useful to the visitor.
Leave the “I ” and “About Us” pages out of site until the visitor has gained trust looking for what they want whether you’re providing information or actual products.
Read Your Page From the Visitors Perspective
Sure you understand what you are saying, you wrote it! But is it really clear to a first time visitor? Strive to make the complex sound simpleâ¦that’s what communicating is really about. Hopefully your website topic or theme isn’t about something inherently complex however you still need to stand back and reread it.
Don’t assume the visitor has great knowledge about what you are writing about so don’t leave things out that you think are unimportant. Make sure you define any jargon or industry related terms that may confuse the visitor.
Make sure your content flows logically. Avoid the scattered thought syndrome where ideas are all over the page. Reread.
Make sure your page navigation is consistent from page to page. If the visitor gets lost a good site map can solve this problem; make sure this link is included with your main navigation.
These are just 2 important and effective methods of creating better content.

The Internet is vast and there are billions of webpages out there all needing to be indexed by major search engines such as Yahoo, Google and MSN. Not all of these pages have yet been indexed. It takes time for search engines to crawl new pages. For instance, Google typically crawls certain websites less once it knows that these sites don’t regularly update their content.
Other reasons for pages not being indexed is that the owner of a site didn’t properly link certain pages. These ‘orphan’ pages which are not correctly linked from the rest of the main website may not be indexed by search engines. Another possibility could be that a website or domain is too new and hasn’t yet been indexed.
Unfortunately for you, some of these un-indexed webpages could have links pointing to your website. You are losing valuable inbound links because search engines such as Google don’t know these webpages exist. One of the key elements in ranking higher on Google is inbound links. The importance of such links cannot be stressed enough.
One way inbound links instead of reciprocal links work the best for Google. Google keeps changing it’s algorithm and in it’s last update tried to filter out sites with excessive reciprocal links. A reciprocal link is one in which you link to a website and that website links back to you. Google rightly or wrongly believes that reciprocal links may be manipulated to generate more inbound links. Emphasis is placed on one-way links. Sometimes you may arrange a link trade where Website A links to Website B. The owner of website B also owns Website C and uses Website C to link back to Website A. However, this attempt to trick Google may not work.
Most of us who work in or are familiar with the search engine optimization field know that inbound links are the key to ranking high on Google. Especially one-way links. The trick is to get these inbound links. Traditional methods of obtaining one-way links by leaving your website URL in a comment on blogs is dying as blogs increasingly use the “nofollow” tag in their A HREF statement. The “nofollow” tag tells search engines to not follow the link or count the link to another website.
One of the simplest ways to get links is to tell Google about third party sites which already link to you. Many of these webpages which link to your website haven’t yet been indexed by Google. These are wasted links as Google doesn’t know that they exist. The good news is that you have the ability to let Google know about these links.
1. Start by examining your web logs to check for referrers. Then save this file containing your referrers into a text document. Use a text editor of your choice to filter this referrer file and remove any hits from search engines.
2. Next filter out any referrer webpages which have already been indexed by Google. This second step can be time consuming and a tedious task so it can be skipped if you choose.
3. Use an html editor to make proper URLs from this list of referrers. Make hot-links of all the URLs.
4. Save the document as an html page and place this document on your website or blog. Be sure not to include more than 90 links per page. If you have more thank 90 referrer links then split the links into multiple pages, each page containing no more than 90 links.
5. Place hot links from your website, blog or other websites which you control to the webpage containing this list of referrers. If you’ve created more than one list of referrers then be sure to link to these additional pages as well. It’s a good idea to cross-link your multiple referrer pages.
6. The last step is to wait for Google’s bot to come and index your new referrer webpage. Google will follow the hot-links from your webpage to your list of referrer’s and index these webpages that have not yet been indexed. You’re directly helping your own website by telling Google of important inbound links. You’re also helping your referrers by linking their webpage. You will be leaking PR from your webpage. That’s why it’s important to create new referrer webpage containing a listing of your inbound links.
