You have probably seen the “Get Number 1 Keyword Position Instantly for any website” self-proclaimed SEO experts and consultants all over the web. I am sure some of them can actually do that through their so-called secrets, but what if your website sucks? You will have spent all that money and time stuffing your site full of keywords, altering your site’s content to the point where it barely makes sense to humans and you have achieved your Ultimate Goal — “Google Domination”. That is the problem — your goal.
Shouldn’t your goal be to grow your business, get customers, and sell your product or services?
Your site should be designed for people, not just search engines.
I’m sure you understand Google is never going to buy your product — but neither are people if they follow your top ranked link and find… nothing useful.
Can your site be found? SEO can help – but it is one small piece of the greater whole. Quality content which is updated regularly, site design & structure, and insightful marketing are what will make you “Findable”.
It is too easy to get caught up in the competitive nature of search engine ranking for keywords and lose sight of what you are really trying to do. Good quality, regularly updated content is the foundation of any internet marketing SEO strategy.
The job of the search engine is to direct users to what they are looking for. By trying to trick the search engines, you are trying to trick potential customers. Not a great first impression. Make sure you are able to give users what they are looking for and it will be much easier to get that high rank you want. Give your website viewers useful, high quality content such as videos or informative or entertaining blog posts and you will be rewarded with better PageRank, repeat views, quality leads and increased sales!
SEO used to refer to things like making sure the structure and navigation of a site is user friendly, efficient in size and speed, and making sure your title and meta tags matched your message. It still is all that, but the term has been abused by “internet marketers” who can’t seem to figure out how to market anything more than information about “internet marketing”. It is almost like the work at home schemes where you buy a report on how to sell the same report to other people.
That does not mean that SEO should be ignored. Search engine optimization really is essential to the success of your site. However, it must be more than just keyword tricks and those should not be the main part of your strategy. “Real” and effective SEO is not just all the magic tricks and schemes, but is a process that should be taken into account in all phases of development and marketing. Your content should be clear, concise and effective in getting your message across. If it does that, your keywords will already be in it! Your website or blog must function properly — people (and search engines) need to be able to navigate around it. For SEO, quality content is step one, user-friendliness or “usability” is the next step before starting keyword meta tag manipulation and backlink building. Really, most of it should be done all at the same time. It is that holistic synergy thing or whatever new buzzwords I come up with to say “your stuff all has to work together toward the same goal, with each part enhancing the ability of the other parts to achieve their individual goals because it works so much better that way”. And yes, all those SEO rules and criteria you have read about are very important, too. But they are constantly changing. Keeping up to date on what is important to the search engines — keyword placement, title tags, link popularity, inbound link text, H1 usage, what social media sites have bookmarks to the site, what color socks the web developer was wearing — that requires dedication, continuous research, and a true passion for this line of work… or at least a slightly obsessive compulsive personality.
To do it well also requires a talent in addition to knowledge and diligence. The ability to gain insight regarding what people will type into the search box, what they will click on when they see it, and what will be useful to them and will work for your goals. SEO services work well on their own, but work much better when integrated with the design process, marketing, and even video production. Quality content combined with technical excellence and insightful analysis and marketing instinct. Synergy.

Article Marketing Robot – The Best Article Submission Method, or Just a Scam?

It is not a secret that one of the ideal techniques for getting traffic and one way links to your Website is to write content articles and submit them to article directories. It’s free of charge and relatively easy.
The article submission process is basic:
Compose a short article that includes several links to your Web sites
You distribute it to an article publication site
They share it to sites, complete with your hyperlinks
You get inbound links and targeted visitors.
Five to six years ago, there were only a handful of article directory sites. Posting articles to them was useful, and generated page views and backlinks, but it was difficult work. Each and every website had it’s own format, rules, and linking policies and distributing a short article to even a few article directory sites took an hour or more. A few tools arrived that simplified the process somewhat, but many of these tools simply filled in form fields . You still needed to register for each website by hand and you also had to manually check to make certain all of the fields were filled in when you submitted content articles.
Recently, Vince Severson launched Article Marketing Robot, the latest tool to “automate” the article distribution process. The Web page has some bold claims about how exactly it can sign up at a huge number of sites and distribute articles to thousands of article publication sites with only the “push of the mouse.” On a lark, I bought it.
Here’s what it did for me, right after installation.
I completed a form with my writer name, address and e-mail address. I clicked on one button and Article Marketing Robot created an account in my article author name at some 3000 article submission sites. It even submitted CAPTCHA codes (making use of the optional Decaptcher.com service).
Then, by clicking a single button labeled “confirm”, Article Marketing Robot downloaded several thousand e-mail messages and clicked on links in those mail messages to verify my registrations. These two actions took about 15 minutes.
I wrote an article and added it into Article Marketing Robot. I checked “select all” to choose all registered article publication sites and then selected “Submit” and it published the content to three thousand directories, almost immediately.
Here’s the amazing part – I did a Google search for my name and found that many those articles had already been listed in Google even though the software was still submitting the article to article publication sites! That’s right – a few of the content articles were listed in Google in under 5 minutes.
Within thirty minutes, I signed up for three thousand accounts, uploaded a short article to three thousand article publication sites, and had live backlinks already listed in Google!
I personally use my own spinning software, but Article Marketing Robot has an integrated rewriter and synonym database. It can also spin articles “on the fly” in order that the article submission sites receive an alternative variation of the article, keeping away from the “duplicate content” penalty.
The program also offers a scheduler that allows you to decide when and how frequently to publish content. You may publish them all at one time or can set a schedule to have a few posted every hour or every day. It just runs in the shadows and stays out of your way.
It is taken a long time, but Vince Severson has ultimately accomplished what nobody else has been able to do – he’s completely automated the entire process of article marketing. You can now get a huge number of one way links in minutes simply by pushing several buttons.
Without a doubt, Article Marketing Robot is the genuine article. The truth is, it is potentially the best piece of computer software I’ve ever purchased. Should you have even casual involvement in article promotion, you just must have Article Marketing Robot. No tool you buy this year will do more with less work.

There are only 2 things that will affect your position in the google search engines so that you can get a residual income. They are good content and incoming links. But which should you concentrate on and which is the most important as it is not 50-50.
Now, think about it, if you have rubbish content, would you get people to link to you? Unlikely. That is the view that Google takes, so they put 70% of the importance on incoming links and 30% on content.
So, you could spend all your time playing with META tags and keywords and even if you are the best, you could only get up to 30% of what could be achieved. So, if you knew how to get good incoming links and only had a mediocre site you would beat the competition hands down.
Of course, if you are trying to achieve a residual income your site would have to be good enough to convert the visitors you receive.
This article isn’t long enough to make you an expert but there are a couple of things you should know which I don’t see mentioned very often, if you are already good at getting inbound links just understanding this could push you to the top and if you have just started out this will give you a fantastic push up to get your residual income.
You must get your Anchor Text correct.
Do you know what anchor text is? It is the clickable word or phrase that take the visitor to another site; you will have seen it many times.
Now, understandably, Google will assume that if you have bothered to make text clickable it is important. So you must think very carefully about what to use as anchor text. And why you are doing it. I have seen this experiment mentioned many times but in case you haven’t just try it.
Go to Google and type in “click here” What comes up? Adobe (I hope). Now why do you think that is? I doubt if you see “click here” on Adobe Meta tags or repeated in their text, do you? No, it’s because thousands of other WebPages have put “click here” as anchor text, to take you to their site to download their free Adobe reader. If you looked you would have seen that there were about 1,550,000,000 results, which makes it even more amazing.
You must get your Anchor text consistent
It took me a while to realise that Google can see your site in three different ways.
So, and this is important, decide which you are going to use and stick to it. If you don’t you could be diluting your efforts by up to 66%. It is better to have 90 links going to the same URL then three different URL’s that all lead to the same place. This is a short section but the most important if you want to make a big difference to your efforts with very little work.
PageRank and Page Rank
What is the difference between pagerank and page rank? The single word “PageRank” is a trademarked name that google owns. PageRank is a unit of measurement that google uses to decide the value of a Webpage in their eyes.
On the other hand the words “page rank” it usually means how it is positioned on a search engine for a given keyword.
So how does it work? PageRank is numbered from 1-6 with 6 being the highest and let me know if you ever achieve it and I’ll buy you a pint.
Mind you, if you do, your residual income will be so good you can buy me one. 0 is where you will be for a while and where you will stay if you don’t do anything and your site has little content and never changes. So what does this mean?
Well if you want your site to be perceived as important by google you want to have links from sites which google already thinks are important, i.e. they have a high PageRank. Anything from 2 up is fine but the higher the better. Even a link from a 0 will still help a bit.
So the higher you can get your page rank the more they see you as an Authority on a subject and the closer you will be to getting your residual income.
To find out what the PageRank of a site is is fairly easy, you can download the google toolbar and it will show the Page Rank for every page you are on.
Get the best training
I have assumed in this short article that you are familiar with getting your links on to the many sites available, like article sites, blogs, book marking sites etc. correctly. If you are not sure though you need to get good training as it can take years of trial and error to get it right.

Looking at a good website is like glancing at a piece of art work however there is a lot more that a web designer has to do other than mere designing. Therefore the job of a website designer is a lot more complicated that usually assumed.
First of all designing a website is a difficult job. You have to consider the logo of the company, the various functionalities required for a website, the kind of colors that will look good and stuff like that put together to make a single design. Most of the times, these designs are made in software like Photoshop, Coreldraw or Dreamweaver. Then these designs have to be converted into a form that is viewable on the web which is usually the HTML format.
The designs that a designer creates have to be conceived in a very specific way because after the design is ready it has to be converted in a different form. Therefore the designer has to take care that the elements of the web design do not overlap and create a hindrance in the next step or else the job of the designer be a complete waste.
You have to be sure that in case there is any flash to be used or any kind of script to be installed on the page, there is adequate amount of space left between the website design to accommodate the same. If you do not plan it well then it is possible that you’ll have to do a lot of tit-bit work. This can be time consuming and very frustrating as well, therefore as a web designer you must ensure that all aspects are taken care of from the very beginning so that the entire designing process can happen the way you planned it.
The job that a web designer does goes well beyond the conventional responsibilities of a graphic designer. He/she has to take care of a lot of variable and dynamics before achieving the desired design and results. Moreover there should also be room for small changes to be made once the design is ready without consuming a lot of time. With so many complications and precision involved it is true that the job done is a difficult one. In case you are looking to have a good presence on the Internet, it is absolutely crucial that you have a good designer handle and create your website for you.

Foreclosure Increases Led by Just Four States and That’s Great News!
The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) recently released a Press Release showing the figures for foreclosures across the continental USA were the highest in the organisation’s 55-year-long history of carrying out surveys.
The delinquency survey which the MBA carries out covers more than 44 million mortgages and it showed that the previous highest percentage of defaulting home owners recorded was in 2006 and it was 0.43%. This has now risen to 0.58% of all loans made.
Small as the percentage may be it shows that more than 286,000 loans entered the foreclosure process during the quarter in question.
You will ask me here, ok, where’s the good news? Well, gloomy as the figures may be they are actually pretty good because of all the States surveyed they all showed a decline in the overall number of foreclosures with the exception of states of California, Florida, Nevada and Arizona. In these four States foreclosures actually increased and they increased by a number large enough to actually make up for the dip in the other thirty-four States surveyed.
This means two things: 1. The dip in real estate is about to plateau and then we will see a steady incline as we head for the next growth period. 2. The increase in foreclosures in those four States is also a direct reflection of the robust real estate market they had there and the fact that they simply had more people than any other State buy their own home and borrow money to do it.
There is clear correlation on this: According to the MBA report California has 17% of the sub-prime ARMs in the country and more than 19% of the foreclosure starts on sub-prime ARMs. California, Florida, Nevada and Arizona have more than one-third of the country’s sub-prime ARMs and more than one-third of the foreclosure starts on sub-prime ARMs.
What is probably happening is that we now are beginning to enter the phase where the number of foreclosures is reaching a plateau prior to the market picking up and the four States in question are still locked in the shake up that releases new properties into the market and corrects house prices through the foreclosure mechanism.
The million dollar question is, of course, just how close are we to the end of the real estate market’s woes. Hard to tell. There are still figures coming through which may represent the tail end of foreclosures but that tail end could be both quiet substantial and prolonged. There are other factors affecting foreclosures and defaulting such as the ability to create new jobs in the economy and if that shrinks it affects home owners.
Overall we can see there is now light at the end of the tunnel and that is great news indeed. What we are not sure of yet is how long the tunnel is.
