You can learn what is working by studying these websites. Create An Email List

You use any marketing you have in place and perhaps PPC advertising you can bring people to your website.  As people come to your website, you will want to keep track of who is buying from what advertising you use.  You will want to fine tune your website by placing tracking links to what is creating your sales.  What about those that come to your website who are not buyers.  You will want to create an email list capturing their emails and design email letters for future use as you have captured their interest.  You write informative emails that capture you lists interest and bring them back to your website repeatedly.

Create A Blog On Your Website

Informative emails that you create can be used to create articles and these can be placed on your blog to be used to inform your visitors further.  As you provide good informatin in your blogs, you vistiros will study your information more and will begin to see you as the expert and in turn they will trust you more.  Your email list size will increase and your sales will increase.  As your traffic increases there is a method to monetize your blog.  As your traffic increases your blog will become noticed more by the search engines (google, MSN, Yahoo etc.).  Using the right words and phrases on your blog can bring a large amount of new traffic to your business bringing new income to your blog and website  and incresing your email list for future sales. Nine Web Design Tips (for the Graphic Designer)!

1. Don’t start a layout without having a concept/idea.

Before starting, ask yourself: who am I designing this for? What are the target’s preferences? How am I going to make this better than the client’s competition? What will be my central “theme”? Would it revolve around a certain color, a certain style? Will it be clean, grungy, traditional, modern etc?

2. Don’t obsess over the trends.

Shiny buttons, reflections, gradients, swirls and swooshes, grungy elements – all these are staples in contemporary web design. If you make everything shiny, you will end up just giving your visitor an eye sore. When everything is an accent, nothing stands out anymore.

3. Don’t make everything of equal importance.

Egalitarianism is desirable in society, but it doesn’t apply to the elements on your web page. If all your headlines are the same level and all the pictures the same height, your visitor will be confused. You need to direct their sight to the page elements in a certain order – the order of importance. One headline must be the main headline, while the others will subordinate. Make one picture stand out (in the header, maybe) and keep the others smaller. If you have more than one menu on the page, decide which one is the most important and attract the visitor’s view to it. Create a hierarchy.

4. Don’t repeat yourself too much and too often.

It’s easy to get tricked into reusing your own elements of design, especially once you got to master them to perfection. But you don’t want your portfolio to look like it was created for the same client, do you? Than you have to visit www.great-links-toyour-website.com Try different fonts, new types of arrows, borders styles, layer effects, and color schemes. Find alternatives to your go-to elements. Impose yourself to design the next layout without a header. Break your habits and keep your style diverse.

5. Don’t disregard the technology.

If you’re not the one coding the website, talk to your programmer and find out how the website will be implemented. If it’s going to be all flash, then you want to take advantage of the great possibilities for the design and not make it look like a standard HTML page. On the other hand, if the website will be dynamic and database-driven, you don’t want to get too unconventional with the design and make the programmer’s job impossible.

6. Don’t mix and match different design elements to please your client?

Instead, offer your expertise: explain how different elements look great in a certain context but don’t work in another one or in combination with other elements. That’s not to say that you shouldn’t listen to your client. Take into account all their suggestion, but do it to their best interest. If what they suggest doesn’t work design-wise, offer arguments and alternatives.

7. Don’t try to reinvent the wheel.

Being creative is in your job description, but don’t try to get creative with the things that shouldn’t change. With a content heavy or a portal-style website, you want to keep the navigation at the top or at the left. Don’t change the names for the standard menu items or for things like the shopping cart or the wish list. The more time a visitor needs to find what they are looking for, for more detail www.instant-audio-mastery.com then more likely it is they will leave the page. You can bend these rules when you design for other creative – they will enjoy the unconventional elements. But as a general rule, don’t do it for other customers.

Nine Tips to Make Sure Your Paid Search Marketing Costs You as Much as Possible

Nine Tips to Make Sure Your Paid Search Marketing Costs You as Much as Possible

I don’t know if you’ve heard, people, but we are in a recession. Unemployment is on the rise…profits are on the decline…and everybody is going to have to do their part – do their part to preserve the profitability of Google and every other online advertising company. So here are my top nine tips for making sure that you waste as much money as possible on your pay per click campaigns. Google needs you…and your money. So let’s get going!

1. Send all traffic to your home page. Always assume that a person arriving at your home page can find his way to the actual information he was looking for. Make your visitors click as many different links as possible to get to their destination. Make a game out of it.

2. Give your visitors lots and lots of options. The more different buttons and links there are to click, the better. Make your site as confusing as possible to navigate.

3. Always, ALWAYS bid for the number one ad spot. Being number one should be your top priority above any other consideration, such as return on investment. Don’t be a wimp.

4. Use vague, broad keywords. The less specific, and the less relevant to your actual business, the better. Avoid keywords that would be used by someone nearly ready to make a purchase.

5. Write generic, boring ads that do not use the keywords in the headline or copy. And never, ever use dynamic keyword insertion. It just makes the ads match up too well with the keywords.

6. Only run one ad for each of your ad groups. Who knows your customers or market better than you? If you think you know what ad copy will be most effective in generating clicks or conversions, just go with your gut. Split-testing is too much work.

7. Run your account wide open. Make sure your ads are online 24 hours a day in every possible market. This is branding, man! Get your name out there!

8. Never look at your account statistics. Just assume that your account is doing great and generating leads or sales. After all, you set it up, so it must be right!

9. Only advertise on Google. You enjoy drinking the king of beers, and you only advertise on the king of search engines. Why spend all that time trying out different platforms?

Follow these nine tips and you will be guaranteed to give Google lots of your money and see as little as possible in results. So whip out that credit card and let’s get started running some ads!

It should be obvious that if you actually want to have SUCCESS in your pay per click marketing, you should pretty well do the opposite of everything listed above. Unfortunately, the above tips actually describe the way many inexperienced business owners or marketers run their pay per click accounts. Forget about any long list of tips. Here is a piece of advice that succinctly summarizes how to be successful with pay per click:

Be specific and test everything.

In other words, be specific with your keywords, ad copy, and landing page copy. Test different advertising platforms, ad types, ad positions, ad copy and landing page copy. And watch your stats so that you will know the results of your testing. Good luck!

Nine Article Marketing Tips

Nine Article Marketing Tips

Article marketing can bring a lot of new customers to your business. However you need to know a few things and here are some wonderful tips to help you out.

1. First, you have to make sure that whatever you are writing about is relevant. If you know for a fact that your product could be very useful, then do some research about it and then end the article with a link to your website. Before you upload the article, check if the site you plan to put this has this as one of their topics.

2. Just like you read in a magazine or see on your television, the article must be both current and newsworthy. This will enable you to stay in touch with what is taking place in the world. One good way is signing up with a site that gives you alerts with regards to certain topics.

3. Some writers post one article and that’s it. Just like movie producers in Hollywood, you should post a sequel to this because there could already be new information available which you could share to the public.

4. You should also make your articles viral. What this means is allowing other people to publish your article content as long as nothing is deleted or added and your given full credit for it. Another way of doing this is offering your writing services to others which will become added revenue for you.

5. Each article you write must be short and simple. It must be short and to the point in order to not bore the reader. Simple so that they will be able to understand the message you are trying to convey.

6. Just how many articles must your write to increase traffic? The wonderful news is that you only need two to get things started. A good title will be ” how to do something” and ” x number of tips for something.” If this catches their interest, that person will most likely click on the link to your site and then buy something. The bottom line is that it increases web traffic.

7. You can stop at just 2 articles to promote your site. If you have other products, you can write articles on it as well and then mention in the resource box. This is known as cross-referencing which a lot of webmasters allow their contributors to do.

8. Aside from posting your written work in other websites, don’t forget to also put these in your own. If you have written 10 or more about the same topic, put these together to what is known as an e-book and then pass this along for free. Again, if people like what is written there then people wouldn’t remind reading it several times.

9. Aside from posting in websites, make use of RSS feeds. There are a lot of them around so make use of it.

There are two ways to get into article marketing. Number one is to write it yourself and hope that people will appreciate your writing style. The other is to hire someone to do it. Some charge by the hour while others charge per word. It may be worth it if this increases traffic to your site.

By following these article marketing tips, it won’t be long before you get a lot of hits.
