Today, the life cannot be imagined in the absence of Internet. It is the epicenter for all types of information from sports to games, leisure to recreation, entertainment to education, creation to devotion and so on.

Internet brings all people across the globe on to the same platform to share and exchange one’s knowledge and wisdom with the rest.

What is Internet marketing:

 

All the products, besides their quality, should also be marketed properly for yielding better profits to the company.

Due to lack of proper awareness and skilled marketing personnel, the concept of internet marketing has risen to prominence.

The visibility of your site will be quite high if the search engines notice that your site is popular on the internet. Note that it is not just enough to get these link backs but the anchor text should reflect the keywords relating to your website’s content. There are some link backs that are not just obsolete but are ignored or even punished by search engines in some cases. It is called link farming. This is just a group of sites coming to help them by exchanging link together to boost their popularity and ‘fool’ the search engines. Their days are gone because search engines have grown smarter and now frown at such practices. This is because these links when critically looked at are generally meaningless. For instance if your site is on ladies dresses and you get links from other site on building materials. This tells the search engines that the web surfers will not derive any benefits from these interlink.

Many who are marketing on the internet still confuse the roles of a squeeze page vs. the landing page. In some circles they are regarded as one in the same but the fact is they serve two completely different roles. Both are used to attract customers online but that is where the similarities end. Whereas one functions as a tool to build a list the other is used to pre-sell a product. In either case they both play an important role for online entrepreneurs so let’s discussed their primary differences and applications now.

Landing Page

Landing pages also referred to as gateway pages are used extensively in the field of affiliate marketing. Their primary role is to pre-sell the site visitor on the product they will be shown on the next page.

These pages are generally not as ‘focused’ as squeeze pages. Landing pages in fact commonly attempt to ‘touch’ upon various emotions of the reader to more fully engage them in the content.

These type pages also referred to as ‘gateway’ pages are mostly used to prepare the visitor for the more hard selling approach to be experienced on the next page. Landing pages as a rule do not try to collect the contact information of the page visitor.

Squeeze Page

Squeeze pages have one objective and that is it. The focus is to ‘merely’ collect customer contact information for future marketing efforts. The approach is direct and much more ‘focused’ as opposed to the landing page.

The content of these pages is generally found to be very brief in an attempt to not confuse or distract the visitor from the sole intention of the page. In fact it is unusual to even find many if any graphics on squeeze pages due to their ability to create distractions for the visitor.

The main message of these pages is made very clearly and that is to instruct the visitor to leave their contact information and why they should do so.

The offer of a free gift in exchange for customer contact information is both common and expected on these type pages.

As you have hopefully come to understand the squeeze page differs significantly from landing pages insofar as the roles they play online. Online entrepreneurs have a need to attract customers when marketing on the internet and both these pages do just that but their similarities stop right there. Squeeze pages are used to build a list whereas landing pages serve more as an introduction to a product that has yet to be shown to the site visitor. In either case they both play an important role for anyone looking to grow their customer base or income online!

“Blogging and social media online marketing are the latest and greatest strategies we use to increase quality traffic, leads and exposure of our clients’ businesses,” Morien explains. He adds that search engine optimization and blogging particularly go hand-in-hand because search engine spiders at Google and Yahoo are looking for certain things while ranking pages. The more pages of useful, keyword-rich content a website has, the more favorable that page will fare in the search engine results. Since most consumers never make it past the second page, Internet marketing SEO strategies need to focus on getting the client’s site within the top 20 listings.

Another online marketing SEO strategy that ranks well in search engines is social media content – particularly Myspace blogs, pages and images (which is more open than, say, Facebook.) Social media marketing can be linked to a realtor’s website and blog to create online chatter and inspire word-of-mouth marketing. “Think about social marketing like the chat room of consumer reports,” Morien says. “We leverage our clients by setting them up as the authority resources in their industry – and the ‘buzz’ of social marketing and blogging has successfully contributed to this strategy.”

Crafting press releases to market on third party sites and exchanging links with other industry leaders (like builders, housing organizations, etc) are other invaluable Internet marketing SEO techniques. These methods are like testimonials, votes of confidence and vouches for a realtor’s trustworthiness. Not only does this resound favorably with audiences, but also with search engines which are scouring the Internet for the “best of the best,” the most highly recommended and the most popular.

It’s safe to say that most realtors don’t have the time to maintain a daily blog, craft in-depth press releases or keep up with social media traffic. Phil Mooney has some advice for other companies: “Don’t be afraid to let your community, not the corporation, take ownership of your brand identity. They can be the customers who form more naturally to develop brand attributes.”
