Perth Website Design – in Tune With the Times

It has not been too long since the new web browser Google Chrome hit the shelves and designers all over the world, including Perth Website Design Companies have had to change the way they design and develop websites to suit the requirements for this latest in Browsers. It is already quite demanding to design and develop a website to be compatible with the many browsers that we have available such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and Safari but now they have added Google Chrome to the mix and many Web Design Perth Companies will need to design websites to cater for users of this browser.
A professional Perth Website Design Company will already have all the four main browsers available to test their design code, but they are now considering adding the relatively new Google Chrome to the list of browsers to make the website designs browser compatible with as many browsers as possible. This new browser is still in its beta version so there are still plenty of bugs to sort out but it has been noted that Google Chrome has the potential to get into the top browsers list. Many Perth Website Design Companies have been cautious about catering to this new browser because it is still only a beta release and many Mozilla Firefox (or Ice Weasel) users have been reluctant to make the switch.
Taking all these browsers into consideration for Web Design Perth projects adds time and cost to the project. Designers always try to resolve browser issues and lack of support in some areas. As Google Chrome has been off to a slow start and is still in beta form, many Perth Web Design Companies are thinking if it is really worth the time and trouble to develop website compatible with Google Chrome, besides the other well-established browsers. This is the question that is on every ones lips in the web design community online and it is not likely to get answered just yet. In the meantime, projects are developed as per normal and any extra browser considerations are not adapted to unless specified. As a rule of thumb for all designers, not just the Web Design Perth teams, it is always better to maximize accessibility to ensure no potential customer is left out.
If you are looking for Perth Website Design Company and want your project to consider all the top browsers you should certainly consider specifying the inclusion of Google Chrome testing in your web design project. This can mean potential customers will not be confronted with a poor quality website or even a broken website or layout when they try to access your website with Google Chrome. This means more customers using Google Chrome visiting your website and more great first impressions. The last thing you need from a Web Design Perth Company is a website that fails to display properly when accessed through different browsers. This can damage the way users see your website and your company and provide negative impressions of your professionalism and quality.
For the very best Perth Website Design results your website needs to cater for everyone or at least as many people as possible so do not be afraid to ask for multi-browser testing in your next design package to ensure you get the most out of your website. If you are unfamiliar with the different browsers out there as you are a devoted Internet Explorer user it may surprise you to learn that your business could benefit from a multi-browser website design as one of the most popular browsers today is Mozilla Firefox. In terms of up to date support, features and security Mozilla Firefox is one of the best browsers available so make sure you get a Web Design Perth Company to develop your projects that includes Mozilla, Opera, Safari and perhaps even Google Chrome usability testing.

The best laser periodontal disease treatment Round Rock
Periodontal diseases can be caused due to many reasons. Our mouth is an area that deals with maximum bacteria. Whenever we eat, there are food particles that stay within the mouth. If we don’t wash our mouth properly after every meal, these food particles are not washed away. They rot inside the mouth and invite attacks from bacteria. These bacteria then attack the tissues and structures surrounding our teeth and cause havoc.

Choose the best Round Rock dentist from more than one dentist Round Rock TX
Dentistry is that branch of medicine that deals with our teeth. We know all of this. However, out of all the body parts, we give the least amount of thought to our teeth. Experts in the field of medicine have always advised that we must visit our dentists at regular intervals. But how many of us actually do so? We somehow have a great fear of dentists and dentistry and want to avoid both as much as possible. But the modern technology in dentistry has made it a relatively painless procedure.

Flash that dazzling smile with cosmetic dentistry Round Rock
One of the major points that we ignore when it comes to our appearance is our teeth. Some of us somehow don’t realize that if we want to make an impact with our appearance, then a set of pearly white and even set of teeth is most important. We spend on clothes and we spend on our build but we somehow don’t want to spend on our teeth. The most common excuse is – what can I do if me teeth are like that? But the point is that it is now possible to beautify our teeth with minimal effort.

Article Source: http://www.articlesbase.com/ – Marketing In Tough Times â 5 Steps To Success
In a dim and distant past I was a biologist and to my thinking recessions are actually rather like the commercial version of the ice-ages. The Ice ages were massive step changes in evolution of life on earth, and we all know what happened to the dinosaurs â but we also know that life did continue after such cataclysmic events â but only life that was able to adapt to the new conditions at the time.
And guess what, when the sun shone again, the ice melted, to reveal a new environment these adaptable life forms thrived. The same is true during recessions â only those companies with solid business models, great well focused products and a plan will thrive after the recession.
So lets look at 5 strategies to ensure you don’t end up like the dinosaurs!
It may seem counterintuitive to take stock and engage in some navel-gazing when the sensible thing would appear to be to work 48 hours a day in the scramble generate new business and revenue onto the books. But that is what we are going to do.
Ironically things like marketing your company probably are not at the forefront of your mind and you may feel compelled to tighten budgets. But by doing that, you will actually worsen your position â you need to believe that you’re in business for the long game and that you need to set up marketing activities to produce streams of business in the future when times start to improve.
Step One – Brand and Product Positioning
Its really crucial, in order to make ANY marketing spend effective that your brand and product positioning are absolutely spot on. Now is the time to revisit and fine-tune your proposition! Here’s what I mean. How often have you sat in a meeting where the product has been described as a list of things that it will do â its features and functionality?
While this information is really important, and customers will need this, your product idea needs to be VERY clear about why it should appeal to a prospective customer. You need to apply the “so what?” test.
For example â “Our new patented active PA system has a frequency range of 100Hz to 10kHz, is rated at 1000 watts RMS and weighs only 10lbs per speaker”
“OK â SO WHAT?”
Instead, how about
“Many traveling professional musicians need high quality PA equipment that they are familiar with and trust.
“Equipment at venues is of variable quality which means that musicians tend to take their own gear which up to now has been based on bulky, heavy, traditional technology or they make do and suffer the potential consequences to their reputation.
“Our new, patented active pa system has high power and superb clarity, performing at least as good as Brand X (the benchmark competitor).
“BUT weighing in at only 10lbs per speaker means that the whole system can be carried in a small bag in the back of a saloon car rather than a van.”
So not only have you just defined how your product solves real pain felt in your target market, you have given yourself some crucial pointers as to who to target and what messages will appeal to them.
Take time to get this right â test it on friends in the business â a proper product positioning statement is important because this statement will drive everything you do to market and sell your product. It defines the type of people you need to reach without wasting a drop of your marketing budget on people who will NEVER buy your product.
And now, are you still selling the your products in the same way and with the same pricing structure as you were years ago? Its possible this is not what customers want in a recessionary market. Can you repackage your offering in such a way that it solves the new pains that your customers are experiencing now? Move fast to capture the new opportunity and recognise the signs that tell you to introduce new evolved products for the growth after the recession. Focus on customers âneeds’. Talk to you existing customers – you may be surprised what they tell you.
Research has shown that businesses that innovate their product during a downturn always do well during the next boom.
Step 2 – Current Clients and Referrals
It is true that the best way of selling is to get potential customers to choose you rather than beating down their door. We can achieve this through reputation marketing but the first place to start is those customers who have bought off you before. It costs far less to keep an existing customer and grow him than it does to acquire a new one â research varies but its at least a factor of 10.
You need to stop your customer being attracted to new suppliers and you have 2 great weapons in your armory that your competition doesn’t â he knows you and if you are doing a good job (I assume you are) and you understand his business. Lavish him with great customer service and let him know that he is important to you.
If a customer moves to a new supplier because of a better price elsewhere â this is not the reason they moved – it’s the excuse â rarely does anyone buy on price alone. Get to know your existing customers better, not only will you retain business but existing customers are also great sources of new business if you ask the right questions. Maintain a dialogue, ask about their successes, let them know how successful you are with all the other products or services you offer, ask if there is need for these maybe elsewhere in the organisation and you maybe surprised to get growth.
Happy customers also love to tell their business colleagues about successful suppliers such as you â this helps them demonstrate what great business sense and judgment they have. Ask for referrals, most people do not. Trust me, referrals will come if you ask, especially when times are tough like now. If a respected colleague tells you what a great supplier they have for marketing and design, you would give them a look for your new campaign wouldn’t you? Customers don’t stop buying during a recession – they just buy more wisely.
Over the past few years, you’ve most likely built some traction in a particular market. Now is the time to revisit them and build on your repeat business and referral strategy. Look at new channel and routes to market as well â talk to your existing customers – you may be surprised.
Step 3 – Low Cost Marketing Communications
Lets now look at some low cost marketing ideas. The Internet seems to be everyone focus right now and yes it’s a very important tool in your marketing toolkit. There are some great low cost ideas to use the Internet. I assume you have a website â if not get one â there are simply loads of people out there offering a massive variety of cost options âpick one that works for you.
3 Tips â make sure that you have your contact details on every page (top right is as good a place as any), make sure you have some testimonials on the front page and have a form to collect email addresses â entice them with a free download â a white paper for example
PR is free and when someone else writes about you it builds trust and respect. Advertising is great but potential customers know that its you telling them how good you are and they expect you to say that! When someone else writes about you, and if the topic is relevant to the reader, then people take notice. Get to know your local paper’s business editor. They need to fill pages with content and they need to do this every week – make it easy for them to do this and they’ll love you!
Here’s a pneumonic to remember it’s called the PR RAP
Relevance â pick a topic in the headlines
Angle â this is your particular take on the issue, your angle â
Pitch – why your product/service meets some interesting new needs not yet covered.
Network like crazy. Why not give 2 cards to everyone you meet â one for them and one for someone they might meet later who needs your services. But don’t stop there -meet people after the event for a coffee â really connect with them â help them with expert advice from your skill set â they will evangelise for you. And speak at events. There is something in human nature that says that once an individual creates a gap between them and an audience the relationship changes. Speaking to an audience you are suddenly an expert. Again this will create trust and will make people come to you for your services.
Lastly, use the various networking sites to boost your search engine rankings. Your profile allows a signature â this can contain an inbound link to your website âan google loves inbound links from high traffic sites and all networking sites have high traffic. Blog or publish articles â this again publishes your electronic signature and which again creates another inbound link. Blog monthly â you will see improvement in the organic Google ranking and guess what, you will get replies from other people interested in your views â they might even become prospects
I have a list of 40 more great low cost marketing techniques â email me for a copy.
Step 4 – Long tail Marketing
Once you have exploited all those free marketing opportunities and you are going to invest in some marketing, I would suggest that there are 2 criteria that you want to adopt under the current circumstances. Firstly that your investment can last over a length of time, if possible. So think of things that will give you constant exposure. Some marketing tools only need to be created once, yet will last a long time. For example, vehicle wraps will last for years and can been seen by every one all the time 24 hours per day. The same goes for websites. If you have a storefront, consider wrapping the entire window, if not what about buying advertising boards at the local football, rugby club.
Secondly if you are spending money on marketing, do not cut corners â do it properly so it looks professional. It is so tempting to try and save money by doing things yourself or getting a mate who can work his way around Front Page to do a website for example â but it is a false economy for 2 reasons. Firstly if you do it yourself, you are using valuable resource that takes you away from what you are good at it – so you are not being productive and secondly your reputation is at stake with a bodge job. Image and reputation is everything right now and the survivors of this recession will be the ones who stand out in the crowd as being solid and professional
Step 5 – Have a Marketing Plan
It’s an often repeated that, if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. This may be trite but it is true. You need to plan everything and, if you aren’t good at it, get someone who is, or at least get something ANYTHING – down on PAPER.
You need to put down a roadmap for your marketing â times, dates, collateral needs etc. And finally you need to put numbers down for costs and sales income on a monthly basis. So, detail what sort of marketing materials you will need and when you plan to use these marketing tools. And who will do this.
Then you need to work back to articulate when you need to develop these marketing tools and again who will be doing this for you.
And lastly create a proper budget âset aside a figure and write it off. Do not try and do your regular marketing from cash. If you do you will always be wondering about whether you should spend the money and you will drift off the timing plan.
You may need help on this, but the plan is non-negotiable. And you may feel that the plan is done once a year and you never look at it again right? Wrong! Many people write a beautiful and detailed plan and then put it in the bottom drawer and forget about it. Its much more fun making exciting new developments to your product range â than to monitor progress on your plan isn’t it?
But its crucial that the plan is a working document that you stick to it and review progress every month with the team members. Sole traders, review the plan yourself or create a virtual board through your business network (call me – I can put you in touch with some great people). You need to focus on what happened to take you off track, and to take corrective action to bring you back to plan.
So in conclusion, for business survival, its crucial that you are driven by the marketing and timing plan to keep the sales funnel filled with potential clients. But do not make the mistake of short-termism and assume that once you’ve landed a couple new customers, you’re out of the woods yet. Stick to the plan â market yourself relentlessly – this recession is going to be a long and painful experience for all of us and I for one do not intend to have business archeologists digging me up in a million years and studying me as a curiosity!

Is your website in sync with today’s times?
Is your website in sync with today’s times?
Is your website outdated and ineffective? If so, you could be losing patients and potential referrers, no matter how good a practitioner you are.
Even if you aim at a segment of the population that does not use websites for medical information (and those segments are few and far between these days), your target market is without doubt influenced by someone who does.
Imagine an older patient who does not use the web; however whose children do – if they see your website looking outdated and clunky (or worse, non-existent), they may convince your patient to go to another practitioner.
Even if your website is scripted well and designed suitably, if no one can find you, all your efforts will go in vain.
As because the web has become such a vital peg of practice marketing, there are various healthcare agencies to bring you 21st century website marketing.
When you take the help of such an agency, you will get the following advantages:
Custom website design & development
Your website will be designed to reflect your specific brand to draw the type of patients and referrers you want – not just ‘traffic’.
Your new-patient volume with ongoing search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) services will increase.
Your website will also cover:
Domain name registration and renewals for life
Medical animations on offer for patient education
Patient education library on your website
Monthly traffic reports keep you updated
Full-service e-mail accounts (up to 25 per domain)
Added features to boost effectiveness
According to your budget, each of these enhancements can be had and integrated into your site, as per your budget:
Patient satisfaction surveys
Secure labs and referring physician reports
Shopping cart and online bill payment portal
Safe user registration and special access privileges
Blogs and links to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other social networking sites
Pay-per-click marketing options
And lots more
Visual, functional and findable
The most effective websites are visual, functional and more importantly findable. There are thousands of ‘practitioners’ who can help you design attractive websites. The real test is designing a visually effective, functional website that comes up high above in search engine rankings and draws in traffic.

Due to the low-cost and the global nature of the Internet, the Internet Marketing concept is gaining some rapid popularity. The other cause of the popularity of this concept is the interactive nature of the Internet. Internet marketing is a procedure of mounting and promoting a group using the online medium. Factually, Internet Marketing doesn’t always mean to the website. The scope of the Internet marketing is beyond the website building or operating through the website. Twitter is a Social Media Marketing Success but Avoid Committing the Same Error that the NY Times Did
Twitter is a Social Media Marketing Success but Avoid Committing the Same Error that the NY Times Did
Twitter has been discovered and is being used by many businesses and individuals as a successful social media marketing tool. Even US President Barrack Obama is on Tweeter. In fact, Twitter was used heavily in Barrack Obama’s presidential campaign. Popular TV host Oprah Winfrey joined Twitter in January 2009. The New York Times has just appointed a social media editor, Jennifer Preston, and she promptly joined Twitter, sending out her first tweet on May 26.
It’s so easy. Anyone can register an account. You can then click to “follow” other Tweeters and, hopefully, gain a large following, too. You can read the messages sent out, called “tweets”, by anyone you choose to follow but you can only send messages to those who follow you.
Tweets are limited to 140 characters. Go over and your message will be cut. This includes prefixes. Among the prefixes used are “@” followed by the the person’s Tweeter username when replying to someone, or “RT@” followed by the source’s username when reposting a tweet, much like reposting a blog entry with a link back to the source. You can use the services of URL shorteners such as tinyurl.com or bit.ly to transform long addresses you can then use in your tweets.
This is where you have to be very careful. The new NY Times social media editor, Jennifer Preston, sent out an RT on May 26 but she forgot to count her tweet characters carefully. As a result, her tweet was cut and the resulting address she sent out led to Ebay instead to her intended article, “10 Golden Rules on Social Media.” So count your characters before you send out your tweet.
There are so many ways you can use Twitter to market your site. You can tweet links to your articles, making sure, of course, that your readers will find them useful. Really good articles will most probably earn RTs, spreading the word further and resulting in more visitors landing on your pages. If you have a good web site with rich content, it will deserve many return visits.
You can also use Twitter to request and gather feedback about your site. If you have developed a good relationship with others in the Twitter community, you will surely get a lot of helpful inputs.
Twitter can also serve as a bulletin board of sorts where you can make announcements about upates in your site or your products and services. Since your tweets are only sent out to your followers, it is not considered spam.

How To Use Social Media In Times Of Corporate Crisis
How To Use Social Media In Times Of Corporate Crisis
Whether your company is facing a manufacturer’s product recall or you find yourself in full on legal battle with the FDA regarding the quality of your produce, one thing is certain, managing corporate crisis in the world of web 2.0+ can be a complicated minefield. However, with some sound social media marketing strategies and effective PR tactics, your company can not only move past the bad news, but move into a whole new level of relationship building with your core customers.
This article is about recognizing the power of social media to develop closer more meaningful relationships with your customers. The article is presented as a case study and should be used to gain insight into the use of social media marketing in times of corporate crisis. Social Media Marketing can be an important weapon in your company’s media arsenal when it comes to facing times of corporate crisis.
Let me tell you, as a marketing strategist and independent contractor, you run up against all types of scenarios in the business world. This assignment was by far, no exception! I recently worked as an independent marketing consultant, for a client in South Florida. The client was looking to move out of the shadows of the negative publicity surrounding the owner and namesake’s of the business.
The Charge: Increase Traffic and Online Sales for The Client’s business, while improving the company’s image, which was tarnished by the owner and namesake’s earlier criminal convictions.
The Challenge: Launch SEO tactics that would push a negative blog posting about the owner’s legal troubles, which was showing up in the number 2 & 3 spots for Google Keyword searches of the Company’s Name, while remerchandising the company online and across all social media channels.
The Solution Rx: Develop and launch a bespoke social network that would highlight the strongest business features and help establish a closer and more intimate engagement with the company’s customers.
At the time of the initial engagement, the business had started to use Social Media as their primary source of marketing and promotions. They had established a foothold on facebook and managed to dip their feet into the video world of Youtube video marketing. The company was beginning to move along at a great pace despite all of the negative publicity. However, the looming negative outcome of the company’s name on all Google name searches was a pestering problem.
Focusing on moving past the negative publicity, the company decided to get involved in social causes and launched a low key PR campaign to raise money for local schoolkids by breaking a world culinary record. They also actively looked for ways to help the community by working with other local farmers to draw attention to the unique area they were located in.
There was little doubt that Social Media Marketing needed to play an important role in the reinvention of the business. From Facebook to Myspace, Twitter, YouTube, and Flickr. The right brand message needed to go out to the company’s loyal client base on a regular basis. The idea was to divert attention from what was in the past and focus in on a genuine and renewed dedication by the business owners to repent and reposition themselves as community advocates.
Throughout the engagement a couple of very sound Social Media Marketing techniques, were employed including the following techniques, including…
1. The company’s main website was redesigned to showcase up to date news and information on the company’s community outreach efforts while better showcasing its core products.
2.Positive news was made more readily accessible to customers: – An aggressive online marketing campaign included regular weekly postings across all social media networks as well as weekly email blasts to all 10K subscribers about events, happenings and community outreach initiatives spearheaded by the company. The weekly postings on the company’s social network profiles, really helped position the company in a much more favorable light.
3. A custom social network was developed to integrate news and promotions with product and event sales. The custom social network truly helped the business communicate more completely and directly with its customers. It also helped create a feeling of a family business the customers could relate to. Without ever acknowledging the past, the company was able to paint itself in a more favorable light as it moved into the future.
The Final Outcome:
The end result was a successful three-month campaign that yielded a net increase of 100% in the company’s monthly unique visitors to its site, 120% in its facebook fanbase, Record Online Sales for each month the campaign ran, and a brand new custom social network with over 500 new fans registered in 12 weeks. The company still faces some potential problems due to the negative Google company name searches, but the bad publicity surrounding the owners, doesn’t seem to be slowing the rate of growth and the customers are genuinely more tolerant of mistakes by the owners because of the close relationship established by the company’s social media marketing efforts.
Answer For Search And Social Media Marketing For Tough Times By Rajiv Parikh
Answer For Search And Social Media Marketing For Tough Times By Rajiv Parikh
I was excited by the large turn-out at the Q&A session I hosted in Santa Clara at SMX West—the popular conference for online and search engine marketing experts.
Leading up to the SMX conference what weighed on my mind was the obvious—our collective anxiety about the recession and the ubiquitous pressure to do more with less. Focusing the Q&A on strategies and spending choices across PPC, SEO and Social Media Marketing must have struck a chord because we covered more questions in greater depth than I anticipated.
The savvy search marketers at SMX zeroed in on questions like “PPC advertising–Technology or Human Driven?” and “Social Media Marketing for brand reputation monitoring and brand healing?”. Folks wanted to hear about Ford’s Scott Monty smartly using social media to nip a PR nightmare in the bud. I went on to explain how a major travel firm used the social media group at Position2 to turn around negative sentiment from a promotion gone wrong.
In these tough times, every search/online marketing manager and CMO is ready to listen to innovative approaches. I’m glad the Q&A lifted attention from each company’s specific business challenges and the sometimes arcane technical aspects of a conference for experts.

Social Media Marketing – Share Good News About Your Business During Bad Times
To secure new business in a tough economy, your company needs to appear stable and reliable. Social media marketing is one of the best ways to spread good news about your company and build an image of dependability and success.
The Role of Social Media in Enhancing Your Image
As the saying goes, image is everything. That statement is especially true during difficult economic times. As Rich Tehrani of TMCNet states in a recent article, people looking to make purchases want a company they can count on, and outward appearance is the key to creating an image of stability. Is he saying you should lie about the state of your company just to get sales? Absolutely not. What he’s saying is that you should play up the positive news to boost your image:
”… all companies need to over saturate the markets they serve with the best news they can create. This is regardless of how well they are doing. If sales are generally good now, it makes even more sense to focus on putting a halo around your brand to protect it from bad times which may or may not be ahead. Customer wins, new product launches, a new green data center, a widget that does something useful – if you have any of these, issue a release and try to get some positive media coverage.”
In addition to press releases, Tehrani suggests that companies continue marketing through a variety of means, including social media.
A Social Media Marketing Firm Can Build a Positive Profile for You
Social media sites present one of the greatest marketing opportunities for businesses that are interested in establishing a real relationship with their customers. That last phrase is of great importance – social media marketing will not work if you don’t get involved in a real and meaningful way.
What does that mean? You can’t just create a Facebook page and leave it at that. You need to become a part of the community that exists on the social media site, whether it be Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter.
You need to analyze which sites are best for your type of business, and determine what kind of content will register with the people in these various online communities.
You also need regular communication so you can participate fully in the “social” aspect of these sites.
Marketing with social media is labour-intensive, but it is worth it. Fortunately, you don’t need to do all the work yourself. Online marketing firms that specialize in social media marketing can do all the legwork for you.
What a Social Media Marketing Firm Will Do
Your social media marketing partner will conduct the research you need to get started on the most widely used social media sites. The company will prepare content for you and make sure your pages are updated regularly. Their efforts will result in an authentic and positive online profile for your company.
Social media marketing is the next wave of online marketing. Catch the wave now and you’ll be able to ride out the recession and be in a stronger position when good times return.
