Building Links to Your Website – Reciprocal Links Versus one-way Links

Edit Article |

Business owners who are trying to promote their website often ask what is better: reciprocal or one-way links to their web site from the Link building Services or the services offering them the service to buy high PR links. Before we get into the pros and cons of each, lets first take a look at what the differences between them are. First, reciprocal links are when you link to a website and that website links back to you. Think of it as you and friend get together with complementary businesses and say your clients tend to use my service and my clients tend to use your service. How about I link to you and you link to me? Next, one-way links are when someone finds your website so interesting (and this can be for good or bad reasons) that they have to point it out and link to it. Maybe you wrote an article on a topic that is just so good that other web sites feel compelled to share it with their visitors. Or, maybe you wrote an article so controversial that people had to point out how crazy you were. Either way, if they link to you and you do not link back to them, that is a one-way link. The general consensus on, which is better, is that search engines generally give more weight to someone linking to your website using a one-way link and tend to discount the value of you having exchanged links with another site. So, if you can, try to get one-way links to your web site with the help of professional Link building Services of do it on your own. Does this mean that you cannot successfully market a website by utilizing traditional reciprocal link exchange strategies? No. In fact you can use reciprocal links to build a strong presence and vastly improve both your traffic from direct traffic from those links and the boost that search engines tend to give web sites that have lots of incoming links with just reciprocal links.

Online Marketing for Small Business – Organic Search Engine Optimisation Versus Pay Per Click

Edit Article |

Posted: Dec 23, 2008 |Comments: 0
|

When you are first deciding on online marketing in order to promote your business online, the main online marketing methods that you will encounter are Organicsearch engine optimisation and Pay per click advertising such as Google Adwords.

Organic search engine optimisation and Pay pr click advertising are the two main methods of online marketing. Both these forms of online marketing are aimed at getting highly targeted visitors to your website by making your website rank on search engine results for the keywords that you are targeting.

Ideally a business needs to utilise both in order to get the maximum exposure for their business online. However cost and budget considerations often result in a business having to make a choice between the two.

Organic search engine optimisation refers to the search results that appear in the main centre section of the search results. Ranking within organic search engine results cannot be bought and ranking is a result of organic non-biased steps taken over a period of time. It is dependent on the overall popularity of your website on the internet in general among other on site factors. Organic listings are the results that appear in the main section of a search engine such as Google when we search for something. Pay per click advertising on the other hand refers to the paid listing or sponsored results that appear on the right of the search results page and not in main middle section of the page.

Pay per click result is paid for and results are almost immediate to achieve. However there are many drawbacks. The recent years have seen an exponential rise in competition and a steep rise in pay per click costs. Click fraud is another rising concern where an advertiser may be charged for clicks that are not by genuine customers.

1) Many surveys and search engine marketing studies have pointed than users are more likely to click on organic search results that appear on the main section of the page rather than the paid listings that appear as ads on the right.

2) Organic listings are non-biased and cannot be bought. As such users trust the results more than the paid listings which are a result of paid advertising. The conversion rate for organic listings is much higher than for paid listings.

3) Rising cost of pay per click. Pay per click campaigns are becoming more and expensive day by day as competition is increasing. It is common now a days to be pay as much as £1 or £2 per click for a op 5 position in pay per click campaigns like Google ad words.

4) The results of organic search engine optimisation campaign are more permanent that pay per click. In pay per click the results stop almost immediately at the end of the campaign whereas in organic listings the rank remains.

Pay per click advertising also has its advantages and is a much quicker way to get results. This is useful to advertise events and other marketing campaigns that cannot be planned months in advance. Organic search engine optimisation is a time consuming task and listings often take months to achieve.

In the long run investing an organic search engine optimisationis beneficial and vital in website marketing. It has lower costs and offers a high return on investment. Once a favourable ranking has been achieved it is more permanent. In pay per click the results will stop immediately when the payment has stopped and the campaign comes to an end. Organic search engine optimisation (SEO) campaign also has a wider coverage and generates maximum exposure for your business.

Any organic campaign in order to achieve first page rank in Google will focus on a variety of techniques not only submission to search engines, e.g. directory submissions, press releases, article marketing and social media marketing. All this is important in order to generate quality back links to your website and will most certainly be covered in any organic search engine campaign that is run on behalf of your website.

Organic search engine optimisation is hence a better rounded approach to online marketing and has a much wider coverage. Although you may not see the result within the first few months it will be an extremely useful marketing investment for any business. The benefits of an organic search engine optimisation far outweigh any risks involved with investing in a one year organic search engine optimisation campaign.

The real time updates are very important because they influence both the entry and the exit points.

Forex web based-software is only installed on the broker’s site while the client-based software must be installed on the client’s system and must be synchronized with the broker’s currency trading software.

The common practice has proven that the web based software is the most used program because it’s more safe and effective. Despite all that, the main reason for its popularity is the mobility it provides: every client uses only an ID and a password in order to log in from any computer all around the world requiring only an Internet connection.

As you can see it’s far more convenient than using the client based currency trading software that works only a single computer. Even then, you still need an internet connection to download updates to the software.

The main objective of any financial software is to protect the stored data from hackers. That’s why the program encrypts the information before transmitting it but even so there’s still a small risk of losing some packages along the way.

Currency trading software is working with data servers in order to have access to the stored website content and the user’s transactions and secure the data.

Unfortunately any natural disaster or power outage can shut down a server and that’s why it’s recommended to use two servers at two different locations so that the safety of the data will be 100% guaranteed.

Sometimes the data transmission can be delayed and this can happen due to low Internet connection speed and long distance between the client’s machine and the main server.

As you can see, the Internet connection is very important with currency trading but if you cannot solve this problem you can always ask a local broker to help you. Now you won’t have to suffer any losses because your Internet provider is having some technical difficulties.

Usually the currency trading software have a built-in charting functionality and you can view real time market prices for any currency you want. Also, you can use the stops and the limits to control the entry and exit points.

In exchange for a small fee, several brokers would even allow you to access their chart and their analytic functions to trade.

Website Design Versus Website Development

Website Design Versus Website Development

<!– @page { size: 8.5in 11in; margin: 0.79in } P { margin-bottom: 0.08in } –>

The words website design and website development are basically two sides of the same coin. A website to be complete and running in the World Wide Web needs both designing and development. Thus, for a person to create a proper website, the difference between the two needs to be clearly defined and differentiated.

Designing as we know includes the whole gamut from planning to execution. In the web world, designing a website usually refers to the process of coming up with ideas and incorporating them, usually through graphic softwares like Adobe Photoshop. When a website designer designs a web page, he actually provides the framework for the look and feel of the web page. This includes the whole appearance of the website, i.e., the colours used, the layout, were to put what images, interaction and interactivity and so on.

It is thus vitally important for a website designer to be very imaginative and creative in his outlook. At the same time he should have some basic understanding of the back end development work that goes behind developing a website. Having some prior idea on the technicalities of developing a website helps in the process of coming up with the best designs for a website. Thus the designer should use his artistic talent and knowledge of the savvy designs to design a website page which is what the clients usually look for.

On the other hand, website development deals with the ‘how’ part of converting the website design to something that is LIVE and viewable to the users of the world wide web. In other words, it is the where the developer uses different programmes and codes to construct the back end of a website, like Notepad, Dreamweaver and so on.

Simply put, website development refers to the non-designing aspect of developing and building a web page, using various forms of scripting languages like JavaScript, PHP, ASP, ASP.NET and Coldfusion and so on to name a few. The website developers uses all this various scripting languages to put functionality to a otherwise dormant website design. It is the job of the website developer to use good web development principles, which will ensure the website to load smoothly and without any glitches.

Another point that the website developer needs to keep in mind is the usability of the website that he is developing. Here ‘usability’ means how the website will be viewed by the user in their environment. This is something very important because the website developer has to take note of all the different website browsers available and thus will have to do a lot of testing to see that the website looks the same in all the different platforms. Though sometimes very time consuming, this is something that just cannot be ignored.

Either way, to make a great success of a website, the website designer and the website developer needs to work in unison. Even though both of them have different roles to play in the overall development of the website, a proper co-ordination between the two is very essential.

At Contadgreen all the latest website designing and website development tools are used to come up with the most dynamic of websites possible.

Pay Per Click versus Search Engine Optimization: Behind All the Hype

Pay Per Click versus Search Engine Optimization: Behind All the Hype

Each online personality in the vast online world seeks the achievement of the similar dream: A boundless stream of preferred visitors on their websites, admiring their works, reading their contents and putting their advertisements and offerings into account.

The moment you think of the grand derivation of website visitors, you usually wind up reflecting upon whichever of these 2 trusted ways of traffic creation: SEO or Pay Per Click Marketing. However, the moment you ponder at these, you’ll come to a point asking what the real deal is between these two. Where do I put money at?

Well, both SEO and PPC are very necessary ways in the present business scene. If the question is whether to do one or otherwise, we say do both ways…as long as the Return on Investment is good for either one. If you haven’t tried one of the two, try Pay Per Click first. You will get some answers quicker.

Of course, both have their distinctive ups and downs. What you will achieve relies completely on how you look at, use, and take advantage of these vital factors.

Timeliness: Pay Per Click search marketing is the clear winner on this one, for it takes more time for Search Engine Optimization efforts to change to essential traffic than to how sooner a competent Pay Per Click marketing opration will. Basing on how good and unfailing the Search Engine Optimization works are, it may take as quick as ten days or as stretched as a couple of months to benefit from the search engines.

Cost Efficiency: If you personally handle all the SEO work, then the expenses are limited to merely your time. Unfortunately, doing it all singlehandedly and coming up with a promising Search Engine Optimization approach initially, could and would eat up days up to weeks or months of your priceless time. Alternatively, if you come to a decision on employing the services of an SEO, you must be willing and capable to build the asset for the long run. Conversely, Pay Per Click costs could only cost comparatively depending on your strategy. As your operation moves along and the traffic comes in, the sum accumulates because Pay Per Click is a changeable cost compared to SEO’s set search management cost.

Research – In search marketing research, the two ways require balanced efforts originally. SEO and Pay Per Click both rely on keywords, which means you are necessitated to set huge volume keywords beneficial to your site, or employ a PPC management company to perform the work for you. Of course, a PPC campaign’s sure-fire keywords usually don’t come cheap, while Search Engine Optimization will take longer and use up more effort to rank considerably for a highly proficient keyword.

Sustainment – Both methods requires time and regular attention. Even though the onsite Search Engine Optimization works get easier after your primary efforts for a keyword, you will still be obliged to obtain backlinks on a usual basis to lead the opposition, whereas a PPC campaign will have your attention requirements eased up after a couple of months of trial. Past that, all that’s left to do is some routine sustenance.

Proper SEO PPC efforts could feed your websites with enormous volumes of traffic, and in return importantly boost the likelihood of actually making a sale or getting your services leased. The above basis are the decisive factors on choosing which means will act as your main source of visits. Furthermore, if you find yourself wondering on whether you ought to do PPC when you have fine natural ranking, the answer is a definite yes. If either have a positive Return on Investment; then yes. Positive ROI in Adwords? Go with SEO. Good natural positioning? Do PPC. The more benefits you have the merrier. visit http://keywordsearchpros.com

Backlinks versus Content – Which is King?

Backlinks versus Content – Which is King?

The debate rages on in SEO circles; which is more important in your efforts to rank higher in search results: the content on your website or the backlinks to your website?

Some SEO experts swear by backlinks while a number of other SEO experts swear by content. Google itself has finally shed some light on this question, which gives us the correct answer once and for all.

On Google’s Webmaster Central Blog, Matt Cutts explains that both content and backlinks are important to ensure visitors have a positive experience at your website. However, Matt also said that the number of pages Google crawls on your website depends upon how “important” your website is deemed to be by Google. And what is Google’s measure of a website’s importance? The number of high-quality backlinks that point to the website.

Matt went on to say that if you have 500 pages of excellent content but you only have about 50 backlinks to your website, then Google will only crawl (and index) a small number of those pages. As a result, the rest of the un-crawled pages will do little to nothing in your efforts to get ranked higher in Google.

Conversely, Matt said a website that only has 20 pages of good content but has a lot of authoritative backlinks to that content will rank very high in search results for the keywords used in those backlinks.

The lesson? While content is important to the success of any website, backlinks are king. Without backlinks not only will your content go unnoticed by Google, but the content you do have won’t be ranked very high relative to your competitors that have more and better backlinks than you.

Which leads to one very familiar piece of advice: Constantly strive to build high-quality backlinks using a variety of methods to get to the top of search results, but make sure you have content on your site the gives visitors what they want once they get to your website.

Social Media Strategy versus Tactics and the Tools to Use

Social Media Strategy versus Tactics and the Tools to Use

Facebook and Twitter are not a social media strategy. These are tactics within a social media strategy.

But what exactly is a social media strategy?

A social media strategy is a messaging platform and defines the perceptions, issues and tactics. A social media strategy needs the same preparation as a speech that is prepared for a politician.

In the movie, “Our brand is crisis,” James Carville explains these principles which should be considered for political candidates as well as companies social media.

- Simplicity – the ability to simply state, in a single phrase, what you will do for your clients.

- Relevance – the ability to tell the story in the eyes of your clients.

- Repetition – the relentless effort in telling the story over and over and over again.

So once you have your messaging platform, content creation becomes easier as you can listen to social media and engage in the conversations that are most important by following others, listening to thought leaders, publishing blog post, commenting, creating media and sharing opinions on an industry. Every company should think about defining a strategy so they are consistent with their message, brand and product marketing within all of social media.

Buzz Mouth has built a tool for mid to large companies to integrate their entire online presence in one place. We have clients managing over 500 places where their brand, content and messaging touch. Every time they publish they create a huge impact on their marketplace and have a large voice. This is great as the tool also allows for companies to listen to competitors, thought leaders and the media to engage in the conversation. This is great when they are a 3-person consulting firm with a waiting list of clients. Yet, often small business does not have the werewithall to implement such a dynamic social media strategy. So they outsource it to us.

Otherwise, some nice alternatives are TwitterFeed, HootSuite and Ping.fm to manage multiple channels of social media content.

For 1-5 person companies:

Minimally, we recommend Twitterfeed integration with a WordPress blog that automatically post to Facebook fan page and their Twitter followers. We then suggest using Google Alerts and Social Mentions to monitor what people are saying about you, your employees, your brand and your company. Now with an integrated messaging platform, a small company can be growing a social media strategy. Keep the content focused to your overall goals and you are set.

I often share a couple more analogies about a social media strategy, first it is like writing a book and second like sharing your vision for your company in 3-5 years. What do you want it to be? If you are writing a book about your company, what would it say and why? What do you stand for? What is really interesting to your clients about you?

For 5-25 person companies or aggressive 1-5 person companies:

We recommend using HootSuite as it allows more robust tactics. Although not scalable as a Professional Social Media Management tool.

For 25 or more employees in a company, we recommend a Professional Social Media Management tool where 100′s of tactics can be managed simultaneously. Our goal of the software is to be able to manage your entire online presence from one place.

More tools to come as Buzz Mouth shares their social media strategy through the next 150 blog post. Check back soon.

Myspace Versus Facebook…a Look At Two Giants In The Online Social Media Arena

Myspace Versus Facebook…a Look At Two Giants In The Online Social Media Arena

MySpace is a popular social networking website offering an interactive, user submitted network of friends, personal profiles, blogs, groups, photos, music and videos for people worldwide. MySpace has been one of the most wildly successful sites in recent years, amassing over 120 million profiles while transforming social networking online.

It has created a central community comprised of people across the globe. It is one of the most visited sites in the world and it’s introducing a huge number of people to content syndication through news feeds and it allows millions of people around the world to publish on the web for the first time.

MySpace is also used by people to display their talents and it’s about keeping in touch with friends and making new friends. It’s all about interactivity and the ability of people to participate actively in your MySpace community.

It is an amazing community building tool and is starting to become an amazing marketing tool by giving internet marketers the power to drive large numbers of potential clients to a Website. MySpace allows users to customize their user profile pages by entering HTML, no Javascript, into such areas as “About Me,” “I’d Like to Meet,” and “Interests.”

It has a Groups feature which allows a group of users to share a common page and message board. MySpaceTV is now in beta mode, and will probably be launched as a separate site in either 2008 or early 2009. The MySpace Polls is a feature that was brought back in 2008 to enable users to post polls on their profile and share them with other users.

MySpace is the world’s largest Social Networking website and maintains a dominant position as a media site, primarily aimed at youth, giving them the opportunity to express their feelings on a variety of topics.

Facebook, on the other hand, has the largest number of registered users among college-focused networking sites, according to Wikipedia. Facebook’s culture, appearance and principles have become the envy of the social networking business. It has moved in exactly the opposite direction, from MySpace, going for a more sophisticated and increasingly older audience.

Social media online is extending our real world networks so that we can carry on conversations internationally as well as locally. Facebook is a tool to keep in touch with friends and family around the globe and is the most popular social networking site in several English-speaking countries, including Canada and the United Kingdom.

Facebook is often compared to MySpace but there is one significant difference between the two sites and this is the visual appearance. Facebook is cleanly designed and has a sophisticated, upscale sense about it.

Facebook is a private company and doesn’t disclose sales figures but the Financial Times reported it made 150 million dollars worth of sales last year. Facebook is already supporting several languages and they successfully launched their Spanish speaking version recently.

Statistically speaking as of January, 2008, according to TechRadar, Facebook has more than 60 million active users worldwide compared with MySpace’s over 120 million. On average 300,000 new registrant’s sign up to MySpace everyday versus Facebook’s 250,000. For Facebook the fastest growing demographic are those 25 years old and older while 85% of MySpace users are of voting age 18 or older.

No matter how you slice it, these are two very successful and very influential players in the Social Media online arena today and should be for a very long time to come. And there is no telling how big a resource they can become for Internet Marketers worldwide.

Top 10 Benefits of Online Marketing versus Traditional Types of Advertising

Top 10 Benefits of Online Marketing versus Traditional Types of Advertising

An old school marketing tenet says that you have to spend money to make money. Sure, when putting up a new business or expanding an established one, you have to spend on additional capital as well as advertising. But in the current state of economy, you have to think a lot before spending. So, when it comes to advertising in this technology- driven but sagging economy, it is best to put your bet on online marketing than traditional advertising types- and here are ten reasons why:

1. “Branding” is out, and measurable return of investment is in. Traditional marketing is great for building brand exposure, that is, if you have a large budget for marketing. But for the small- to mid-sized businesses, online marketing is the smart way to go. When you put an ad on TV, radio and newspaper, you have to wait for certain period of time before you can tell whether your product or service is doing well. With online marketing, you can have a daily reading of how much of the traffic you get is actually converting to sales or not. With that, you can make immediate business decisions for your company.

2. Information in a flash. One major benefit of online advertising over traditional advertising is that you don’t have to wait for months before you launch your product or service. In fact, you can publish any information and content immediately and not limited by neither geography nor time.

3. Quality exposure. When a person passes by a billboard or sees an ad on TV, you cannot tell whether he or she is interested in what you are selling at that time or whether they will be interested in the future or whether they even noticed the campaign. However, a person clicks on an ad in the web when he or she is interested. With online marketing, you actually get your target market.

4. Cost-effective exposure. How much does a TV spot cost these days? Running a small ad in a paper for a day can already cost you a couple hundreds dollars – more if the paper has a wider circulation. However, not all of those who read the papers even read your ad. Some people just click to some other channel on TV when the commercials come on. However, you still have to pay for their viewing your advertisement. Even with pay-per-click (PPC) and other forms of paid online marketing you only pay for the views of people who are interested in your service/products. SEO is even more cost-effective in the long run because it could give you quality exposure for a relatively small financial investment.

5. Prime position. With traditional advertising you pay more to have your ads displayed in a place where it can be seen by the most number of people (Prime time on TV, for example or a billboard on a busy highway, etc). With successful online marketing your position is always prime position. Good SEO will help you rise in the search engine results pages for relevant searches, making sure you’re right there when people want you.

6. Long-term exposure. You can only place a certain amount of advertisement on TV for a few weeks, on the papers, for a day – but with good SEO, you can maintain the same site for years. However, online marketing can complement traditional media by providing directories towards previously made advertisements or those of other brands.

7. Online marketing is best for brand engagement. Studies reveal that among customers, particularly non-techie female internet users with children under 16, the Internet has a greater effect on brand engagement than print media, TV and outdoor advertisement. Brand engagement is one of the factors that ensure brand loyalty among customers. And in this time of recession, it is important to maintain buyers.

8. Online marketing provides insight and other interactive mediums. Studies also show that the internet also has a crucial role in the propagation of indirect experiences of brands through customer reviews. Online video directories for brands are a good example of interactive advertising. Customers can also choose to visit the brand’s website, or interact with the advertiser through other channels such as email, chat or phone. Response to brand communication is instantaneous, and conversion to business is very high.

9. Website users buy more online than average newspaper users. In Germany, Internet users are enthusiastic online shoppers, as well. Before making a purchase, either online or in a store, many German consumers research the product on the Internet. By 2005, online buyers rose by 7%, taking the total number of online shoppers to 27.4 million.

10. Product information. Almost as important for consumers was the search for product information. Online Marketing for Small Business: Organic Search Engine Optimisation Versus Pay Per Click Advertising

en you are first deciding on online marketing in order to promote your business online, the main online marketing methods that you will encounter are Organic search engine optimisation and Pay per click advertising such as Google Adwords.

Organic search engine optimisation and Pay pr click advertising are the two main methods of online marketing. Both these forms of online marketing are aimed at getting highly targeted visitors to your website by making your website rank on search engine results for the keywords that you are targeting.

Ideally a business needs to utilise both, organic Search engine optimisation as well as Pay per click advertising on order to get the maximum exposure for their business online. However cost and budget considerations often result in a business having to make a choice between using organic search engine optimisation or Pay per click advertising for their business.

Before discussing which form of online marketing is better for your business, it is important to understand the difference between organic search engine optimisation and pay per click advertising.

However there are many drawbacks to pay per click advertising as compared with Organic search engine optimisation. The recent years have seen an exponential rise in competition and a steep rise in pay per click costs. Click fraud is another rising concern in pay per click advertising where an advertiser may be charged for clicks that are not by genuine customers.

Although the main advantages of organic search engine optimisation over Pay per click advertising are discussed above, Pay per click advertising has its advantages. Pay per click advertising is a much quicker way to get results. This is useful to advertise events and other marketing campaigns that cannot be planned months in advance. Organic search engine optimisation is a time consuming task and organic listings often take months to achieve.

In the long run investing an organic search engine optimisation is beneficial. Organic search engine optimisation has lower costs and offers a high return on investment. Once a favourable ranking has been achieved in organic search engine optimisation, it is more permanent. In pay per click the results will atop immediately when the payment has stopped and the campaign comes to an end.
