With the growth of internet marketing one style of advertising that is slowly beginning to fade away into obscurity are traffic exchange sites. Nowadays, I do not understand why. Yes, I understand it can be tedious to sit and surf in order to get credits to advertise your own webpage. But do not reject the chance of using traffic exchanges so far.
Traffic Exchange sites are still good for many things but among the two most valuable tasks of a manual traffic exchange are branding, exposure and repetition. These are valuable factors in internet business success. Just think about how repeatedly you had to see Ronald McDonald before you comprehend that he was the face of the fast food franchise. Or better yet, how many times have you have seen the Pillsbury dough boy go (wooo hooo) when his tummy is pressed before you said (Ok I get it,). Well, that is accurately what a traffic exchange program will do for your site. They create awareness and a brand with your site/business or product and/or service/program. They establish you as a common name in the internet business community. And, finally, you want to be known. You want your site or business to be memorable to the internet entrepreneur and advertiser. You want them to feel comfortable enough to invest their hard earned money with you. So, in reality, traffic exchange sites are actually beneficial and more useful than you think or have been guided to think.
But because they might not get all the hype as other internet marketing tools, it is still valuable you keep some things in mind when selecting traffic exchange sites to join. First and foremost most are free to join and offer upgraded premium features with a wider mixture of marketing tools for the paying members. So don not just join the first paying Traffic exchange you come across. Compare your options please.
Secondly and probably the most valuable thing is you must join a manual traffic exchange (manual surfing), not an auto traffic exchange. Need I explain? I think It is clear, in a manual traffic exchange with manual surfing, members are required to click on a button in the surf page in order to change the page they are viewing for another page. The wait time can be anywhere from ten to 40 sec, and the amount of credits you get is pretty individual of the system you belong to.
Furthermore to the surfing for credits, most traffic exchanges nowadays offer other formats of advertising to their members, like banner advertising, classifieds, blogs, chat box, among others… These tools tend to be free with most memberships while other websites charge a minimal fee for some.
Listen, I would be not telling the truth to you if I told you it was easy advertising through a manual traffic exchange, but I can guarantee it is worth the time and effort. Even if there is no proven system as to what is the best blend to promote a business and increase traffic to a webpage, the reality is that incorporating the use of a or a range of traffic exchanges into your advertising routine will prove to be enormously helpful and worthwhile.
